The Military Machines Image Thread

The last thing most of the enemy will have a chance to see, possibly the single most glorious weapon in the history man kind, the ultimate in military destruction, the destroyer of worlds....so on

And one of the coolest sleekest, and most neglected bombers in history, the Tu-95 BEAR, the dropper of the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated, the "Tsar bomba" at 50 megatons.

And the coolest fictionial military machine EVER, the Klingon Defense Force Vor'cha class Attack cruiser, the second longest ship in the imperial navy at 481 metres. :)

Great pictures PT, :yeah: Oooh-Rah! :yeah:

The Nimitz was definitely built to last. Here are a couple more personal favorites of mine..

USS Theodore Roosevelt, "The Big Stick"

Those letters are spelled out by several hundred sailors in dress whites on the flight deck.

And the latest addition to the Nimitz Class, commissioned just last year, the USS Ronald Reagan "The Gipper" (Officially known as "Freedom," but you Know that's gonna change ;))

Now that's some Heavy Metal! :D

No pics of the next one yet ~ PCU George H.W. Bush is still under construction, but it should be ready by 2009. CVN-77 will be the last of the Nimitz Class Super Carriers and will incorporate many new features that are being transitioned into the design for the next generation "CVX Class" Supercarrier. This is an artist's rendition of that design:

Russian KA-50. The AH-64 holds nothing against this baby, IMO.

My PlutoCons (short for Plutonian Concordes) are far superior than any of these. She is an omni-purpose space-plane. Advanced shielding technology, the best in the entire universe, enables her to complete her missions in enemy territory swiftly and efficiently. PlutoCon can travel 8 billion lightyears in a few minutes. Not only does it perform military operations, it is also for civilian transport, and even those come equiped with weapons--just in case. They can even be privately owned, and they have superior cloaking devices as well!

Here, PlutoCon is deploying a nuclear weapon.

My newest Real Life favorite is the Russian SS-18 "Satan," capable of delivering up to 10 nukes.

yep SS-18 SATAN is the biggest nuke there is not the trident as centurion suggested, im pretty sure it has 8 warheads, because of some treaty the us and soviet signed all these mothers must have under 10 warheads, the trident has 10 warheads, needless to say smaller ones than the satans

actually the soviet nukes had to bigger since they werent as accurate as the us ones

all in all i think it has close to double the payload of the trident, not sure

i also like the white concorde plane thing, did you design that?

I originally intended for it to be just like the European concorde, but with stronger engines. However, i guessed wrong and got a smaller plane with a slightly distorted figure. Eventually, I made a new bigger one and still use it to this day. Yes, there are physical variations from the European Concorde: Shorter but wider fuselage (body/cabin/whatever), a wider wingspan, 4 very powerful engines, and it can fly at 103,000 feet on a good day that has to be VERY good. In fs, the plane is pretty sensitive, especially on autopilot, so she can very well be the most challenging plane any FlightSimmer will fly, especially since the plane tends to bounce while on the ground, making for very tricky landings.

EDIT: from what I heard, the Satan does carry TEN warheads, maybe more.

well its a very nice plane

i can tell you for sure the satan carries 10 warheads or less (remember the treaty?)

I find that nuclear weapons are somewhat of a cheat. And they are terrifying :nuke:  .......
Now this is a hoty!
