Soooo, with Kappa Algieba winding down, is anyone going to be interested in another game sometime soon? We could gather in the next couple of days and hop onto one if we have some interest. Of note - after this game, barring a truly stunning reversal, I should be just 5 tokens away from being able to host a 12P private game joinable for free, as long as things still work the same way they used to a year ago. That would be sweet.

I may very well come to regret this heavily, but I'm considering it. However, I'm going to be quite busy throughout this month, and have several times when I'm going to be away from the internet for a few days, so now might not be the best time for me.

Hrm... for some reason, I appear to be stuck at 35 Galactic Credits, although there is an ill-explained and seemingly nonfunctional "Turn On" link besides that number. Maybe it will update later in the day? I'd better not have lost out because of something stupid.

Yeah, GG. It was a bit rocky to start with, but I think we ended up making a pretty deadly team.

Yes, perhaps the fact that the game began with my kamikaze attack into your core systems was the only way we were able to turn around to form the strongest alliance in the game.

Personally, I probably had a good hold in 2nd place without the vacation. I was on the verge of taking over Crezth but had to drop out with half his empire undigested. I was in all alliance systems: Iggy-Wonderslime-Me. Prospo-Gimp-Me. Crezth (yes )-qoou-Me. Before I left I was prepared to attack iggy with 120 ships after Gimp hands me range, with another 200 behind those, redirected from the completed Crezth front. My economy would have boomed with the new systems, and continued booming instead of just getting AED'd by the NPC governor.

With secure fronts, my ultimate choice of allies and enemies, and a boosted economy I might have done well.

Stupid vacations.

Yes, absences can definitely make winning quite difficult, as we can see from Thlayli's moderate success against qoou in Game 13.

Qoou managed to order his fleets to the frontline before leaving, which has stalled me, but my victory is assured. Probably.

I didn't even play in that game after the first five minutes and I still didn't die first? What?

Madviking actively tried to fight against me for a day, so I killed him first. Then merciary and I dismembered you, but a few systems were left over since the AI was turtling them. Also I gave you a bunch of weapons while merciary was invading you, so after that you were a less attractive target. I was digging into Kraznaya, and probably would have wiped him out as well if it hadn't been for my rapid advance into merciary's territory. bombshoo got 4th by dint of being surrounded by absent players and out of reach of the active players.
