Julius vs Alexander: Epic Showdown

Funny to say Julius respected Alexander the Great as a great man and here he just wants to crush him.

A little following hereafter.

Spoiler :

Also kinda frustrating after all the nice things happening to me to see I lose my first UHV because the AI decided to go all the way for Christianity.

Spoiler :

The worst is it happened to me once that Cartaginians got it even before I was born as the Kingdom of Axum.

Anyways, irritating, but after such a crazy luck with a late Oracle giving me MCasting, I won't deny such attempt.
Also, Byzantion is insane! The Greeks did a nice job grouping all the pantheon wonders there. Colosseum, GLH, GLib, ToA, etc. Man!, Once the Byzantines spawn, they will die so I can snatch that nice city. Especially after what Rome did to me! Hopes that the Romans took the worst of it!!! See hereunder.

Spoiler :

Tachy, this screenshot is epic. I dislike RFC antiquity, but it's amusing how the "spawn ai stacks all over the place" mechanic managed to result in such a showdown.

Worthy Opponent? Plus, of course, the LH's are more symbolic of general national character, then anything.

Disliking the ancient times!? Hell, this period is my favorite. But that's RFC: DoC, not Classical RFC mod.

I said Julius respected Alexander. In his personal list of grandiose and illustrious historical figures, Alex is extremely high.

To clarify, specifically disliking the way antiquity plays out in RFC-DoC.

Good lord! The current game I have is so weird. I have nothing to do with it, but it happened way before Mongols arrival. I looked into the Top 5 cities and wonders built table and noticed the GWall isn't built yet. Ah that partially explains why.

Spoiler :

Oh WAIT GWall still available! Needs to capture Chaang immediately!!!!! Then whip a missionary and at last give independence to that city ad nauseam for infinite stability!

I decided to go for American domination from a 3000BC start (DoC 1.11) and there is some strange things going on in the world:

First of all, Mayans are still alive:

France is huge and Italy has migrated to Austria (Buda is theirs also):

China is big, alive and quite ordinary... Wait what:

How is that even possible... :shake:

You also forgot that Protestantism has been founded in Spain and thanks to that, the Netherlands switched sides and the only mainland nation that was catholic was the HRE and Italy.

Well, the Hui come from around there anyway :P

There's quite a few weird things in 1.11. In addition, I don't think civ rebirths is working properly, except the scripted ones like Egypt's.

Egypt's isn't scripted.

Egypt I believe is likely to respawn between 900-1300 depending on Arabia's stability.
Therefore, Barbesque I think you mean that Arabia's stability is too high now.

Nah, the Fatimids/Ayyubids/Mamluks were as important as the Sassanids and what not.

No idea.
The better question is why Italy, its own civilization, almost never spawns. The conditions for Italy are too strict. It should be, if Italy is controlled by more than 1 civilization does it spawn. The indies are eaten up.

Why is Italy even a conditional spawn? If Italy is a conditional spawn, why isn't France? Germany? Mongolia? Hell, any civ?

The logic behind the Italian spawn restriction is that if Italy is controlled by foreign powers, a unique culture could never develop, right? Why not apply that to every civ?
