Well, Russia has a huge core, which helps a lot.

yeah, they were at 37 when I abandoned the game due to annoying respawns/congresses costing me half my empire. Russia would have been quite a formidable foe otherwise in the lategame

And this is solid!!! I know user created empires aren't allowed, but I couldn't leave this unresponded.

well, duh, user created empires can controll the whole world. my Prussia-game with 70+ cities and solid stability is somewhere in this thread.

But having the AI build such an empire while remaining stable is quite a different feat

Playing as Indonesia, I just built the Colossus and Great Library in Sydney and the Great Cothon in Ma'u. The entire classical world collapsed really early.

This led rise to super Britain and France.

They also happen to have Paratroopers and Marines, while most other civs have Riflemen. I think England might have Infantry, but still.

The poor Germans kept getting destroyed. HRE got wiped out by France. Prussia only lasted long enough for France and the Ottomans to choose which pieces they wanted. Wein and Budin split off a few turns ago... and Budin was returned to the Ottomans by the council.

I started a German 3000 BC game, and then i look into worldbuilder at the start.
The world in going nuts.
France and Spain collapsed, leaving a completely independent europe. Because of that Netherlands and Poland are conquering all the indipendent cities, dividing europe between two superpowers:

Because of that the new world is colonized mainly by england, that is creating a giant empire. Portugal took over Mexico, while vikings took eastern canada.
