Spain was controling all of the middle east and shared russia with Germany, France had Italy and Greece, while Mongolia and Khmer had split up China (with Mongolia having thier palace in Beijing) Turkey was a disapora state controling Iran-Parkistan area, and Arabia owned most of north-central africa and India (Ethiopia owned a small strip down the east african coast and everything to the south of Congo Bassin)

Americas looked fairly historically acurate, except for Aztecs vassaling to Portugal and no French in Mississippi

Anyway, I was thinking that half the fun of starting as america is seeing how crazy the world looks. And the biggest OMG ever would be if it looked exactly like the world in 1776!!!!

Thats right, I realized now. Superior, Michigan and Huron are combined, and it looks a bit confusing.

Looks like a nice, interesting start from here. You can use Philadelphia as capital, save a settler and you started with a bonus boat

Plus, it looks like Buddhism is the main world religion, so you'll get some interesting outcomes imo

IIRC, you get 3 muskets, pikes and cannons for every Euro which declares war on you. So I'd rather prefer Britain and France declaring war on me, so that I get 18 free units which I can upgrade with my gold.

I don't think you'll be able to afford to upgrade 6 muskets and 6 pikes to riflemen with 1500 gold. Also, the French won't declare war on you - they don't own any cities in your flipzone.

They did last time, even though they didnt have any cities. Figured out them and the British were friendly.
