Portugal managed to bring one frigate to the Black Sea. And no, they didn't control Tabriz, that was Turk.

It is possible to get there with a fort in stead of a mine on the iron, but since it's next to Trabzon it is unlikely that the AI builds a fort there, it only does to catch resources outside of BFC's. Even then the Portuguese somehow had to have open borders with the Ottomans, so they had to be involved in a mutual war at some point. I don't know if it's possible to build ships in Khurasan.

What if Portugal had OB with Ottomans and Persia, then if they had a frigate in the Black Sea then when Ottomans collapsed they'd maybe go to the nearest friendly tile... in the Caspian?

The Frigate was probably in the Eastern Black Sea when the Ottomans collapsed or canceled OB and the ship got teleported to the Caspian instead of going somewhere logical like the Med. That's the only way I can makes sense of it.

Sorry for my pictures being bad quality, but as Turkey my culture spread into this German plot which happened to have iron  , no iron for you, Germany.

Nerf Turkish culture.
Don't you hate it when Ottomans capture a seemingly insignificant city near your borders and then it suddenly expands with more culture than it should reasonably have, taking away your resources and crippling production? I sure do. Even better if resources taken away are those that the new Ottoman city cannot even access (such as that iron).

What happened was that I captured a german city on the horse, then razed it, then his culture to converted into my culture, in which this case i snagged his iron
only to lose it 5 turns later

I think its the first time Ive seen Carthage survive this long, so I don't know if they become expansionist like this. I like the way you can see the Greek elephant honing in on the other indies while the indy Indians have their eyes on Kabura

Frankfurt already razed in a 600AD Emperor France start. I got a free horse archer. Dunno who did it for sure. Must be the indies.

Looks like Izzy stole my UP! All the Euros were +3 or +4 with me, but still cautious. Whereas with Spain almost all of them were +1 and still pleased!
