I didn't read everything in that section they opened up for the joke. But one of the sections there was a post by Turner moderated by ainwood with the note that if he kept it up he'd be suspended from moderating. Funny stuff.

It was after I posted something that was incendiary but "self moderated" my post and instead posted "nvm". Turner followed my comment with this so Ainwood laid the hammer on him.

We should do it like the road.... unanimous consent to get in and a veto disallows it.

We could also use that as a testing ground.... if they work out 'over there', then they can work here....

Did Plotinus' post about the "Member Moderated" forum start off as an early attempt at forming an April fools joke, that was sort of abandoned and merged into the larger joke? I got that impression, reading it...

You know, it's too bad us regular members can't see the April Fool's forum anymore... I'd love to look at that breakdown of the financial model again

I have to admit it was a fun fishing expedition. Baiting the hook and being patient while our first fish entered the asylum. We thought it would be Aimee when she asked what happens to binned spam posts in SF. Then we weren't getting any nibbles until Hygro...then it was a school of fish! Then it was a feeding frenzy!! Very fun to watch.

That seemed to help carry it a little further. Good work and thanks for playing along.

That was one of my favorites although Blue Monkey's revenue model was absolutely classic.

That was actually the funniest part!

A few little nibbles, first school of fish right around 2am EDT, then the regulars start strolling in around 8am EDT, then the feeding frenzy started. (Yes, we were watching the entire time!)
