What's a CFC Super Moderator?

A normal moderator normally gets first promoted to senior, then to super moderator after a while (not really structured, IIRC, depends when the admins have a look at it).

During my time it was so that:
- junior moderator (does not seem to be used anymore): Can only moderate his own area
- normal moderator: should only moderate his area (but technically could others)
- senior moderator: can moderate other areas
- super moderator: should moderate other areas
So the higher you go, the more you are trusted to have a look outside your own area. You're also supposed to take more a look at side wide matters, and also conflict resolution in the "lower" ranks, incl. between other mods and users.

But yeah, that was once upon a time, might have changed.

Is any rank below Thunderfall paid anything?

TF said (even more once-upon-a-time, I think) that the site costs more money than it brings in. So technically, not even he is paid.
EDIT: So no, nobody.
I don't think you'll find any fan-run place on the net where anyone is paid anything.

Sorry for double post, just thinking back to some gardening fiascos of my own. Beware the bunnies. I had to fence my(small) patch of corn and replant after rabbits ate 100% of my shoots last year. Depending on regulation and diet, tho, free range bunny is pretty ethical and pretty tasty. I have no particular appetite for cleaning/cooking them though. Raccoons and crows are more a problem for the actual crop, but rabbits will eat the fresh greens.

Do you know of any shrub like things that grow in poor conditions that animals will not eat?

Supermoderators have duties that go beyond the day to day moderation of of posts and resolving member issues. Part of our responsibilities is to help the admins establish direction and goals for cfc and then develop ways to reach those goals across the entire site. We are also available to help moderators solve user problems and figure out how to resolve situations that arise from poster interactions. There are various staff forums you all cannot see or access where we can chat about situations. OT has its own subforum for discussions. Supermods have one too and then there are admin forums where they can talk privately about admin stuff. Tehy get to talk about all teh moderators behind our backs!!

As a Supermodertor I can jump into a deteriorating situation in a thread and take action; I can interact with other staff about problem inside or outside of the Colosseum; I can give you points, but I'd rather just ask you to behave and move on; The RD threads came out of supermoderator discussions as a tool to keep topics from going sideways or getting out of control.

We are all available to answer questions in SF or via PM or even in threads like this one.

Any questions?

Ok, that's your Clark Kent cover. But what's your super power?

Mine is incredible beauty, insane fitness, and a groovy rope...

And humility. Don't forget humility. I can bring a perp to his knees by just being modest. :p

Hm, so you can come back from retirement to serve in a higher rank? Sounds like the army :)

Yew? They're poisonous and tough, they just don't like waterlogged soils. Not sure exactly what you're aiming for.

Blackberries or Sloes make a bugger of a hedge. Grow on chalk cliffs.

Edit - If Sloes will grow then presumably plums would too. Less hedge value but greater harvest value.

Well I was a supermoderator before I retired.

What are a grandpa's superpowers? If my grandpa is anything to go by, it is "accidentally" turning his hearing aid off and realizing he needs to go to the bathroom right as everyone is heading out the door.
Being a grandpa is a super power all by itself. If you get to be one, you will find out :p All those other things are just the kryptonite you attract for being so powerful. :D

Oooh, yes. If blackberries would go, then maybe the colder climate would take black raspberries, they're a shade cold hardier I think.

They are not on the white cliffs but they would be less of an expletive to prune.

We've got thornless blackberries. They are so much nicer. I expect that they'd get eaten, though.
