Good luck finding out whether that's going to happen to you or not before you end up in Afghanistan.

If I had read as much history before I went into the military as I had after I would have known it. The problem is I had an image of the military that was based on propoganda, not knowledge. Luckily I didn't have to pay a personal price for that lack of knowledge, but I know quite a few who have.

Oh, I would "Nuremberg" any military recruiters who lied to potential recruits tellingthem "You are not going to get sent off to war." If they knew that was a possible lie, they should serve time. That's not the recruit's fault though.

Do you respect the people that carried out the 9/11 attacks?

They volunteered to murder thousands of innocent people, how many veterans share that motivation?

You can pretty much expect people on this forum to go out of their way to post ridiculously unconventional opinions. Yeah, comparing US veterans to jihadists, very clever . It gets really stupid after a while.

Who brought up 9/11? It wasn't me, I assure you.

And if you have some disagreement with "ridiculous unconventional opinions", just voice it, and I will attempt to explain what I mean.
