We're crossing uncharted waters and heading to Distant Lands.
We'll show off new gameplay and mechanics that bring this Age to life.
We'll reveal a brand new First Look and Exploration Age civ in action.
We’ll also be answering your questions live on stream, so tune in to leave your questions for our dev team, and we’ll tackle as many as we can during the stream.
Just a note that in Europe we set our clocks back from summer time last Sunday, so the relevant European Time Zone for November 7th will be CET (UTC+1) not CEST (UTC+2)!

- Timing should be correct now - thanks all for the help!
- Also, wanting to clarify silhouette is actually the "random leader" silhouette from in-game! Not a 1:1 with our Leader we're debuting (Apologies if this was confusing!)
Well, then I suppose it could be Władysław Jagiełło/Jogaila after all - look at his trademark long hair & incredibly high forehead combination. Would represent both Lithuania and Poland nicely for for a future civ (or two, if we're veeeeeeery lucky):
Spoiler:
The wording, unfortunately, is vague enough to let me still wonder if the "random leader" silhouette belongs to anyone at all or was based on a particular figure, even if not one in game. But I wouldn't be here with you all on this forum if I weren't to delve into the most insignificant unknowns
Oh, you guys are taking the statement so literally! They could totally reveal this leader in the more distant future, and that would technically be correct that it’s a “random leader” not shown in the Exploration stream. /Sorry
While not exclusive to the Exploration age, I hope the stream talks a bit more about navigable rivers and changes to trade and resources compared to previous games. As a navy addict in my games, I’m looking forward to river trading and sailing frigates upstream to bombard cities deep in the continent
If the two blurred pictures in the anouncement are any indication, I guess we get Spain with the exploration age Ships and El Escorial blurred out but still recognizable.

Even by process of elimination, we can see Spain. The building is European and the ship is also. The Normans have been covered, and no other European civ has been indicated for Exploration. So that leaves Spain.
