Unintentionally funny things

Sometimes things get garbled in translation.

I saw a cartoon anthropomorphic fizzy drink telling people "suck my *****", and I'm positive the translator meant to use the word "bubbles".

I used to quite like american politics, but this latest season has got a bit dark even for me.

Fanfics can be unintentionally hilarious. Especially the more adult scenes, if the author isn't good at it.

I love practical effects and monster design in older movies. Of course, a lot of the "bad movie" stuff is actually intentional, so not all of it counts :)

this is a favorite by James Cameron. The Piranhas can fly and make hellicopter noises. NSFW because people get bitten and stuff:

I still get a chuckle thinking about the CFC user who chose the username 'Dominatrix' without knowing what it meant, because he thought it sounded cool.

It does though, doesn't it?

Both sides of the conflict in Chad (which is not funny at all):

I too love movies that are so bad they are good.

I was watching Hitchcock's The Birds, and my mind got bored and started playing with it. E.g. Hitchcock giving direction to the birds.

Hitchcock: In this scene, you will ram your head through a window.
Seagull: :dubious: Sounds painful. What next?
Hitchcock: M. Taylor will reach through the hole and grab you by the throat.
Seagull: Ummmm...
Hitchcock: Then he'll strangle you to death.
Seagull:  Get my agent on the phone!

Some homes and businesses have doors halfway up the wall if they're in an area prone to extreme amounts of snow. There are some places in British Columbia with doors like this (northern part of the province, which gets much more snow in winter than the rest of BC). The reason is that the snowfall is sometimes so intense there that it literally covers the bottom floor of the building, and the normal doors and windows are unusable due to being buried. The doors that look like they lead nowhere are actually the way people get in and out during these extreme snowfalls. I dunno if the people who have them keep a set of snowshoes available during these times; I know I would, since stepping out onto the snow and promptly sinking 6 feet carries the added danger of being buried and suffocating.

It wouldn't surprise me if some of the places shown in the series of photos are in areas where flooding is more likely. That way, people can still get out if floodwaters make it impossible to use the ground floor entrances. Just keep a canoe or dinghy available and you've got a chance to escape.
