I dowloaded lastest SVN , recalculated the game, and now options in ctr-alt-o menu dont want to save at all.
They are forcing them selves to default the moment i close window

Didnt try new game yet i want to finish this one , but default options are annoying.

You need to either copy your user settings from the previous version, or save the game and reset the options again after reloading the save. This is a BUG (or possibly DCM) quirk, not a mod quirk. I agree that the default settings aren't the best.

On svn revision 4319, the game hangs when recalculating the modifiers. Task manager reads "not responding" for the civ4 application.

Fair enough. I never noticed before, but does the application always read "not responding" when recalculating the modifiers?

I get "not responding" when it is loading, when it is making a map script and if the recalculation is taking a long time. I am guessing that "not responding" means that no input/output is happening to the screen or hard disk even though the CPU is doing something.

It is "just" taking time, I think someone reported that it took them 10 minutes!

See "my" post in the SVN thread.

1) Automate-Hunt (Shortkey "H") Tracker don't really attack Animals. When I move them manually they kill 5 or more animals per turn, but if I automate them they run away from animals.

2) All Enclosed Animals gives +2%, but Amphibious only give +2 Science.

3) When you research Natural Pigments, it says: "Revals Dye, Indigo, Henna and Dye." Quite a bit confusing ;) BTW, is the Dye map-ressource still a map ressource or is it totally replaced like "Gems"?

Ho Trai wonder
The Ho Trai wonder (Siamese unique wonder) is of little more value than a Library but costs 7x as much. On Snail Immortal the Ho Trai costs 3,200 hammers and the Library costs 450 hammers. The only benefit to the Ho Trai is the 2 Great Scientist points. I propose the Ho Trai cost around 1,200 hammers.

Street Cleaner
The Street Cleaner gives minimal benefit (+1 :health:, -1 :gold: maintenance) but costs 1,500 hammers on Snail Immortal. This is the same price as Landfills but the benefit and costs of the Street Cleaner seem like it should cost between 150 - 200 hammers.

Its replaced like gems. However the manufactured resource is new while the old resource is still there. Which is why you see 2 "dyes".

Its because of ls612's re-cost system. He wanted all the buildings cost dependent upon where they were on the tech tree and not how much benefits they have. Likewise he wanted the Wonders to be 8 times as more expensive as normal buildings of the same tech. Which is why the Ho Trai is so much more expensive than a Library even though they have similar stats.

GG's just sitting in cities?

Also as stated above my scout/tracker/and now even Hunter just start roaming around the borders around my area, not venturing out into the open area that much, like it was before???

Also as stated above, the AI seem NOT to defend their cities much anymore either?? Or with good defending troops at a minimum??

EDIT: Dang i had something else to say, now i forgot :crazyeye:

OK now i remember after going back to the game: Koshling, the arrows now while underneath a city, sends it back to the Capital city??

Also again AIAndy or anyone, were is the info on that Production Hammer in the left hand corner by the LabyBUG?? I keep forgetting, sorry:blush:

I can't figure out what you mean by 'now while underneath a city'.

If you do not currently have a city selected when you hit an arrow it will always go to your capital. I couldn't figure out exactly what the code used to do in that case (it called various game engine functions that are undocumented and whose purpose was uncertain to me), so I made it choose the capital if you press next/prev without any city currently selected. Is that not what it's meant to do? (I have never used those arrows so I didn't have a good baseline to know what it's meant to do in all cases). If not then where (when you don't currently have any city selected) is it meant to go?

OK then thats explains alot. . .

No thats not the intent of those arrows, and i use them almost every fourth turn or so, what they do is take you to the "City you have ABOVE those arrows into the "queue" for building units/buildings/wonders, then as you want to move left or right it take you to the "next" city. But its supposed to automatically "If" your right underneath the city desired into "that" cities queue, not any other one UNTIL you press the arrows again , R/L. . . . SO: I hope i explained that good enough
See i am one of those that LIKES to micro-manage their cities etc. . . You know that 'feeling of great power', ahahahaa, oops got carried away there sorry. :trouble:

EDIT: On a further note, it might just be me :crazyeye: but it seems like the AI has moved back to the v 23/24 way of thinking, absentminded, no offense to anyone.

Would all these re-cal's have anything to do with it not responding for better defense in the cities recently, (not protecting them)??

The Ho Trai library looks a bit underpowered for a wonder. It should probably do something more, else no one will want to build it.
