What are you watching on Youtube, right now? Part VII

Being stuck at home lately, I've been watching YouTube a lot more than I usually do.

"Thoughts on Tomes" focuses on fantasy & sci-fi. She likes a lot of what I like, and I enjoy her delivery. I think the way she talks with her hands would be incredibly distracting in person, but I kind of like it in a video.

18-yr-old Ronda Rousey vs. 14-yr-old Kayla Harrison at the 2005 USA Judo Championships. Not the whole match, but Harrison seems to be out of her league here. Unsurprising, I suppose, given the age difference. A 4-year difference as adults wouldn't be enormous, but I imagine the difference between an 18-yr-old and a 14-yr-old would've been significant. Unfortunately, a competitive rematch now wouldn't make a lot of sense, because Harrison grew into a much larger adult (Harrison won her judo medals at 78kg/172lbs and competes in MMA at 155lbs; Rousey won her judo medals at 64kg & 70kg/139lbs & 155lbs and competed in MMA at 135lbs).

The trailer for A Quiet Place 2, which was supposed to open last Friday. A Quiet Place was one of my favorite films of 2018. Maybe I'll watch it again (Hulu & Amazon Prime both have it). I think Emily Blunt has *ahem* quietly become one of sci-fi's greats. I also liked The Adjustment Bureau, which doesn't get a lot of love, and I always forget that she was in Looper, albeit in a supporting role. When I heard she'd done a fantasy movie with Charlize Theron, I practically sprinted to my computer to see it and was crestfallen to find that it was The Huntsman: Winter's War. Oh well.

for tool tech geeks

a ~45 minute video as a guy who knows his stuff examines in depth a Hercules drill from Harbor Freight

It was neat watching him tear it apart and test the drill and battery

short version: spend a bit more and buy quality, not crap

he likes Milwaukee

"You know what interesting? my name is Khabib I'm not Corona Virus"

Gotta love this guy; humble, down-to-earth, honest (straight forward) and funny.

Still super not up on Warhammer 40k stuff and unwilling to do a dive required to get up to speed, but a friend linked this and I thought of Commodore. Looks like there's 5 bits to it so far.

Just look at my facebook feed, AJ+ have a video about a very horrible prison in Mississippi, it's just madness, and put Covid also into the equation, I think people should do something about it:

Spoiler the youtube link :

I think (honest to God) that this pandemic looks a lot like this intro to a game ("sure - there's gonna be a vaccine but we're gonna sacrifice a few ...." )

Draw comparisons (or not... see if I care... - hint - I do....)

A video from South China Morning Post, a mother who protect her son from get bitten by dogs, get punches and abuse instead by the dog owner. When animal valued more than human.

Spoiler violence :

I don't know the origin of this video, but one thing is certain, the "experiment" went wrong quite fast.
