Yeah, that's true. I shouldn't have called people pricks. I feel like that one line made the thread go a whole lot worse than it should have done... I naively thought that the people who were acting like pricks would have seen themselves being called out on it and thought "huh, yeah, maybe I should tone it down a little". So I'll do that myself, and tone it down a little.

I think dungcoins are better. Dung is naturally limited by the number of living cattle in the world. It degrades with time, thus retiring older coins and eliminating the need for lengthy transaction records. And you'll have to spend or invest your dung before it decomposes, thus guaranteeing a good speed of monetary circulation - a dung economy will be free from liquidity crisis! It has a physical existence for all those in-hand transactions. And it can be represented electronically with a unique signature derived from the chemical composition of each turd, I'm sure we can built portable machines capable of making an on-the spot analysis and create the appropriate hash. The we just have to set up the necessary dung exchanges to clear the market for those who want to realize their electronic transaction in physical currency.

It must be full reserve banking, and financial crisis will be averted because even in the event of decomposition on the vaults the bank can still sell manure to cover any losses. This looks like a fatal flaw. How can I continually update 20TB worth of file in 2019? That's like 2000 Gigs a month in bandwidth just so I can use Bitcoin which is insanity.
