I don't feel oblivion too generic, however I feel skyrim awfully so monotonous. And later on I download many mods for my Oblivion include the rare Elsweyr mod and yes all of that mods make my Oblivion far from being generic and look so good.
That game was good, shame it didn't seem to sell very well.
What's your battle party composition? I found once I started using 2 Soldiers, 2 Scouts and 2 healers the fights became a lot easier.
Hopefully it'll sell more over time, it's actually a good indie game with lots of content. I'm not too deep in (only done the practice battle so far), but I think I'll also have the same emphasis on Soldiers, Scouts, and Healers. Ranged combat is extremely underwhelming, and getting flanks with Scouts while Soldiers bring up the front line was very effective. Healers of course should always be in any battle.
Okay, this game is really BSing me lately. Can someone tell me how constructing a barricade out of wood can cause an explosion of flammable oil? And when a chance of something bad happening is 20-35%, should it happen three times in a row? I'm glad I didn't turn Iron Man. I understand the RNG is fickle, but it shouldn't be actively malevolent.
Are there any games that let you be a modern-day pirate (as in sea bandits)? I'd love some kind of Far Cry 3-esque game where you can be the leader of a pirate group, or fight them.
After trying out few games not worth mentioning I got sort of hooked on Path of Exile. After the disappointment with D3 simple hack & slash was fun again. Nothing seriously wrong with Torchlight II either but this is way better and even the multiplayer works very well. The lack of online gold sellers deserves a special notion which is due to interesting ingame monetary system. The quality of free to play game can surprise every now & then.
I've started playing Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 on the 360. I've also downloaded Fable: Anniversary as I never actually finished that game when the original was new.
Started Shadowrun Returns yesterday. The reviews for this game were all over the place and I was wondering if I'm gonna like it. My impression after one day is that it's good but not great. One of the biggest complaints from reviewers was that there's only autosaves, but manual saving was added with a patch between the time it was released and I got it, and I can see that this is a significant improvement. The atmosphere is good, the story is intriguing, but it is very linear. There is no exploration short of the occasionallly optional ten meter detour to get an additional item, you have maybe one short side quest per main objective and your dialog choices don't seem to matter. The combat is OK, but too easy, in part because the AI sometimes just screws up their turn. I'll have to agree with the majority of the reviewers who said that the story is better than the RPG, but it's definitely worth my money and time, and the active modding community is hopefully going refine and keep this game alive for a long time.
