What Video Games have you been playing II: Have you finished that backlog?

Silly question, I know, but have you guys read the X3 manual?

A long time ago. Then I used it regularly as a reference over the years. It's one of those manuals that if you try to read it without a reasonable amount of prior experience it might as well be written in a foreign language.

^Whenever I read the word 'Terran' I mentally add either 'Marine' or 'Firebat' after it. What, if anything, is wrong with me?

Bah! Manuals are for sissyboys! Real men charge headlong into a game with no knowledge of how to play and then complain about the lack of a proper tutorial.
At least you have chicken.

That depends. Have you visited South Korea anytime from 1998 to the present? If so, you may have contracted Koprulu Syndrome. Since 1998 there has been an outbreak of this terrible affliction in South Korea that has reached pandemic proportions, yet receives almost no attention from the international community.

I haven't, but South Koreans have emigrated to a lot of places and there is a 'Korean neighbourhood' nearby. Maybe I should take refuge in the pervert bunker again.

I've been playing Sonic Generations for Xbox 360. It's pretty neat, enjoying the nostalgia, but like most Sonic games in general, everything's happening too fast. No thinking, just button mashing. Good for a brief lark, though.

I've lived in areas with large numbers of Korean-Americans most of my life.

(Though, that said, in terms of Asian-American immigrants, I've mostly associated with Chinese-Americans my life. Come to think of it, when I visited my old high school neighborhood a couple of years ago, besides my cousin and an Indian guy, everyone else I saw was Chinese-American.)

Maybe I should just rename the Korean neighbourhood 'Koprulu'.

Back into Warthunder. I now have jets for every nation.

I played Crusader Kings II, and got my grandson to be King of Hungary. I was the King of Poland and needed to quickly die so that I could become my grandson and inherit both thrones.

But then it was too late because the Hugarians killed them both (first my son, then my grandson). Stupid Hungarians. I am going to load up an earlier game and send my old king into battle on a pony so that he can die.

I've been considering sending irritating bishops that don't like my Irish Chief off with 12 random dudes to "go raid" the Moors.

Episode 3 on The Wolf Among Us. SO GOOD
That game was awesome. Which reminds me, I played The Walking Dead: Season Two this weekend and thought it was great.

It's kinda crazy how brutal they've made point & click games.

I agree. Though I still stand by the old, "you should kill something that you're going to eat once" bit so you can get an accurate specific perception on the intentional ending of a life.

  • Walks into Skingrad
  • Minding own business, like a good citizen
  • Turns head to the right
  • Turns head to the left
  • Sees Glarthir
  • Tries to run for it
  • Agility isn't that great
  • Makes the mistake of turning around to see if Glarthir is catching up
  • Glarthir almost catches up
  • Fast travels to another location
  • Breathes sigh of relief

You're one annoying mofo, Glarthir.

Er, what would my fine be if I just blasted Glarthir with a fireball or something?

Is it the first offense?

Eh.... just talk to him once and then never meet him behind the church at midnight (or whatever the next quest step is). He never bothers you again. What's the big deal?

I just meet him behind the church every time I pass through town and tell him 'nope'. Eventually he attacks me and I waste him. Then I move into his house. Nice pad.

Flaming would probably get you two infraction points.

Been pretty much playing XCOM Long War exclusively. I was into Wasteland 2 for a while, and I still think it's fantastic, but it keeps crashing on me.
