While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

Polar bears and penguins are trans-dimensional beings, but they are no match for the good Lord Blacktyde!

Don't make me bring back the penguins, they've been enjoying their vacation! :p

Well, they've been on break since Daft's Floating Continents NES ended.

Ah, good old Blacktyde! Such a shame that NES died.

Blacktyde wasn't evil. He was simply...British. :p I am reminded of crazy people when I look at this forum, each time we have grander and grander projects and each time we abandon them for even greater and greater projects.

Normally there's a difference, but he was so extremely British that it was very hard to tell.

Well, let’s see here. In INES III, the cartoon villain leaders are Queen Victoria, the Kélen Toumani, the Proletarian Emperor, and more recently, Jacques Sangle and El Jefe. The Supreme Leader has his title, but he’s not presented in quite as overblown a fashion, Nico Romano has a cultured vibe that makes him a little different from the other ones, and Lord-Protector Gabriel Blacktyde, while that name hints at a lot of stuff, hasn’t really been developed as a character yet. Similarly, your Li Dingbang (before he was phased out) implied a joke, but wasn’t particularly overexposed.

Meanwhile, France and Israel have interesting multi-sided political situations, and the stories that have come out of Havana, CWOH, Siam, and the UK are much more focused on ‘normal people.’

So yeah, there’s a trend, but it isn’t a blowout.

For the record, El Jefe isn't planned to be evil for evil's sake... I'm trying to develop a story of a man in power who just loses all sanity and will (at least I"ll try to) be documented by the people around him, who see where he's going, but are too afraid to stand up against him... Yeah, there's more to it than just the surface. Well, that's the idea, but it'll probably end up with me getting lazy and just turning him into your regular cartoon villain... though I'm trying my best not to!

The First NESer Neptune's Pride Game is finished. Final Ranks Are:

1st. Yukon
2nd. Shadowlord Wolfer
3rd. Luckymoose
4th. Thlayli
5th. Bil
6th. Lord_Iggy
7th. Kentharu
8th. Windess

Seventh and eighth are a bit tricky to work out, because Kentharu died off first, but survived for a long time with one ignored, undeveloped system, while Windess remained a power with 20 or so systems. However, she was entirely wiped out by Yukon and I before Yukon finished Kentharu. Also, I was stronger than Bil, but he went inactive so Yukon worked to wipe me out before Luckymoose went to destroy Bil. :p

Haha, all these strange constellations in this arm of the galaxy! If/when you guys start up a new game let me know. Maybe I'll get less crushed this time around too!

Well, as I said, the first NESer game just finished and the 3rd is underway... however, I think we're going to start the third game at a time that is amenable to the Europeans... perhaps we should get to work on organizing that, and finding out what time would work best for our friends across the pond.

Estonia has a movie studio too so I dont see why they couldn't. :p
