While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

It really figures Kal'thzar would dwell in the Land of Darkness.

Sadly, it's pretty much impossible to assess most etymologies (especially for proper names), but it's an interesting experiment nonetheless.

EDIT: I can't quite see it, but do I live in the Land of Oarsmen? Yeah, I suppose that's as good as any of the many, many alternatives I've had to go through when we had the "ancient" history of Russia.

ITS STILL TO SUNNY

Interesting....well more amusing. I'm sure we will use this to make of people...

EDIT: Wow, so we have places like Darkpool and Unfordable River Town, yet Newcastle is STILL Newcastle!

I knew scotland was a dark and evil place.

Thankfully the British choose, in their great wisdom, to enlighten you skirt wearing weirdos. But after that they kinda did everything else wrong so, oh well.

:p

Land of Villages yo! And I live right next to the Great River, in the Great River Territory... and my town name remains the same. :p

This is laughable on so many levels I don't even...

The "British"?

He meant the English, ofcourse.

"Some inhabitants of Scotland now call themselves 'Scots' and their affairs 'Scottish'. They are entitled to do so. The English word for both is 'Scotch', just as we call les français the French, and Deutschland Germany. Being English, I use it."

Yui108, Kraznaya, EQandcivfanatic, and Nuclear Kid, if I understand correctly, are presently starting or reviving NESes, and you can reserve countries from the last two already on their pre-threads.

There are plenty of NESes with open spots that aren't new, too, though.

Is anybody starting a new NES soon?

Sorta-new NESes that I support is Julius Gandis C2c: Countdown to Conflict. I am trying to shore up the Ottoman Postion and hope that Arabic Nationalism wouldn't smash my attempts.

Arabic nationalism isn't even an issue and never was, the highly overrated "Arab Revolt" and the so-called "Lawrence of Arabia" are mythological creations of British imperialist propaganda.

So, I don't want to be a Republic of Turks, I want to be an Empire of Muslims!

Oh, and Karalysia, about the Berlin-Baghdad Railway? It will go to Cairo, Calcutta and China, the 3Cs of the Orient Express. Happy traveling! (if you let us build it, we will let you tax it, slighty)

AKA, I don't want to lose a devastating war, which the winners take mandates of Arabic lands and Turkey becomes a land of mostly turks, not an Empire of Muslims. Which is what happened in real life.

I want a strong USA styled Ottoman Empire by 1950. Mayhaps the Union of Islamic States. UIS.

Yeah I just really do not see the rest of the world letting that happen but feel free to try.

Don't be too quick to disparage it; it would be the best solution as far as a lot of people (great powers and regional elites alike) would be concerned, and it's basically what they tried to do in OTL before the Young Turks (or alternatively Abdulhamid II, though he too wanted "an Empire of Muslims") ruined everything.
