And we won't have to worry about converting people, we'll just kindnap them off the streets and get them hooked on some unrelated substance and then force them to write NES orders in exchange for their fix or for food and stuff since obviously we have locked these people up in my basement dungeon and they won't be getting away.

I never had any problems with NESers. I turned up here because I was curious, and found it to be a welcoming community. It's a shame not everyone seems to think the same way I do about NES and NESers, I only wonder why it is.

I'll be honest. I don't give a toss about most NESes or IOT period. To each his own and all that. That's not to sound offensive but IOT doesn't tickle mah itch like some NESes do. It tickles mah buddies TK, which is cool, so I'm not about to judge. If people want to cross over to NESing and vice versa, to dip their toes in both ponds as it were, that's fine too. But there is one condition: don't tread on people's toes. It's the same condition I'd imagine IOT asks of NESers. So it shouldn't be a hard one to follow. Simple as that. So give NES your tired, your poor, your huddle masses...

At any rate, we are who we are, and there's a pretty broad diversity of opinions amongst NESers regarding potential new people joining the forum, so if anyone interested talks to a few of us, they'll probably get a good idea of what the community's like.

Eh, so I'm wavering in thought at the moment. One on hand, I almost have a complete map for a story-set NES that would be just that- story driven. Stats would be minimal, and restrictions would be minimal. Other hand, I have a complete map which can be modified into a blank start, and from which I could then run a fresh start/ fantasy world. I guess, which would people prefer to see?

Alright, let us keep the IOT vs NES argument out of this thread.
And for those not in the know, Christos200 is a Greek ultranationalist who is hated by 95% of the community and has the great honor of being the single poster who has broken my tolerance limit for ultranationalism and gone on my ignore list. Not trying to troll/flame/whatever, just telling the truth as it is.

Abbadon has not been on since the 25th, we will have to wait and see. Considering what Boundless has said, both of them would be in Italy, so more waiting.

I am not aware of anything.. but we are back now, and I am sure Abaddon will investigate!

...are very good at giving NESers a bad name. Cut it out, you can have a civil discussion without insulting IOTers en masse. Props to NK and Terrance for being reasonable.

Some people go out their way to encourage new NESers, others do the opposite. I can't think on what basis (other than hollow elitism) there is justification for shunning newcomers.

Anyone interested in seeing a Game of Thrones type NES?

More details to come in a few hours if there are any interested players. (Need to make a delivery for my client that will take 4-5 hours in which I will use to think of a NES ruleset and guideline.)

I am thinking of starting it just after the end of Season 1 of the HBO series if any of you have seen it, when King Baratheon dies and the Iron Throne passes to the young son who has suspicious bloodlines and House Stark forms an army to exact revenge for the brutal murder of their lord at the hands of the Lannisters. (For those who haven't seen the series I will provide a more detailed introduction and history of the series.)

I am thinking of allowing Families who control either of the 7 houses to player control, and allowing players to also form bands of warriors who can offer their services to the highest bidder or fight for who supports their politics. Dragons will have a limited appearance and there are no magic in the world.

Feedback appreciated if you have anything that needs to be added or edited somewhat.
