See what I mean about derangement?

There's plenty to hate about Hillary, but Mr. Froth-At-The-Mouth here thinks he has to make up crap?

Good lord, I thought those quotes smelled like some bad email chain letter. I was even gonna say so in my last post, but I actually thought Amadeus had risen above that kind of lame crap. Sad to see that isn't the case.

Its exactly as I said, a bunch of out-of-context stuff that's pure partisan hackery.

Why should we subject women to a higher standard then? Surely, in our country, we've had terrible white male politicians...should we avoid electing somebody because they happened to be white and male?

I'm not subjecting her to any different standard, just applying my observations of Indian political life, and of women rulers throughout history, to Hillary.

Men tend to be more dispersed along the political spectrum, in terms of competence. Women, curiously enough, and in a complete inversion of the trend in other areas, seem to be either really, really good, or completely mad.

Dude he was trying to be subtle about it! Don't lay it out for all of us to see! ;)

All its missing is the "OMG HERE'S THE TRUE STORY OF A BRAVE MARINE STUDENT WHO STOOD UP TO HIS LIBERAL ABORTION-PERFORMING COLLEGE PROFESSOR"

We have worked hard to educate the public about what a progressive liberal government would mean: getting out of Iraq.
Guess who controls the purse strings in the Iraq intervention. I'll give you just one hint: it isn't George Bush.

Does anyone here think that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are political moderates? Maybe a few nutty Marxists, but I can't imagine anyone with any sense (of which the aforementioned -ists have none) believing that.

Universal healthcare insurance. Real fiscal restraint (not just talking about it).
In addition to repealing the Bush tax cuts, it seems you'll also have to repeal the basic laws of mathematics. I can't down a bottle of vodka and claim that I'm restraining the amount of alcohol I'm taking in.

Progressive policies will win in America - every plank I mentioned above has majoritarian support
Fortunately, the United States is a representative republic and not a dictatorship of the proletariat.

How many of those quotes are made up? Zero.

I think it's funny that the same people that hate Hillary for listening to public opinion are often the same people who hate George Bush for not listening to it.

Moderation is an incredible thing.

I dislike Hillary because I think of her as someone who over consults polls, as opposed to having consistent opinions. I dislike the fact that she will not own up to mistakes such as her Iraqi vote. I don't feel she has the experience. To me it' s more important to be good at government on a small scale than bad to mediocre on a national scale. Obama was good at getting Dems and GOPys to work together in the Illinois state senate, and Gulliani did a good job as mayor. Hillary messed up health care in the 90's and her performance in the Senate is unimpressive.

Another issue I have is with what this does to democracy. Besides the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton? we have her own attitude to the primaries. To her they are little more then a drawn out coronation ceremony, with wrath and scorn for those who challenge her.

Then theres that taste for dirty money. I'm not so sure I trust that.

If you read them in context, they still say the same damn things. If elected, Hillary is going to pull a giant Huey Long and ruin this country in the process.

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Sandy Berger, who stole highly classified terrorism documents from the National Archives, destroyed them and lied to investigators, is now an adviser to presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. Berger, who was fired from John Kerry’s presidential campaign when the scandal broke in 2004, has assumed a similar role in Clinton’s campaign, even though his security clearance has been suspended until September 2008. This is raising eyebrows even among Clinton’s admirers. “It shows poor judgment and a lack of regard for Berger’s serious misdeeds,” said law professor Jonathan Adler of Case Western Reserve University, who nonetheless called Clinton “by far the most impressive candidate in the Democratic field.”

Adler told The Examiner that it is “simply incomprehensible to me that a serious contender for the presidency would rely upon him as a key foreign policy advisor.”

He added: “If Senator Clinton becomes the Democratic nominee, at some point she will begin to receive national security briefings that will include sensitive information. At such a point, continuing to keep Berger on board as a key advisor, where he might have access to sensitive material, would be beyond incomprehensible.”

The Clinton campaign declined to comment.

Berger has admitted stealing documents from the National Archives in advance of the 9/11 Commission hearings in 2003. The documents, written by White House counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke, were a “tough review” of the Clinton administration’s shortcomings in dealing with terrorism, Clarke’s lawyer told the Washington Post.

Well, it looks like her "no cronyism" platform has crumbled already.

Karl Rove always thought that winning was more important that being right. It's a mindset. The problem is that you can't figure out if the Rovians do stupid propaganda because they're trying to fool the gullible people, knowing they can't fool the smart (and are ethically okay with that), or that they believe it themselves.

It's a tight race, but I'd vote for her if elections were today.

I still say Obama as Pres, Clinton as VP would be the best ticket...

See what I mean about derangement?

I read the linked website, and I do not see any problem with the quotes posted as they were.

Context?

That she was talking to rich people when she said "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."? So what? I don't discriminate against the rich! It's socialist, period.

When she said "shared responsibility for shared posperity", it does not matter that she followed it with "Now, there is no greater force for economic growth than free markets, but markets work best with rules that promote our values." Who's values?? Your's?? What rule is she referring to, exactly??

I read the whole site, and I think the comments by Hillary can be taken without context. Each time I read the context, it made no difference to the meaning of what she said. You can post every one of those quotes with the context provided by snopes.com, and it would not make a bit of difference.

Show me one quote that means something other than what she said... I read them all and I don't see any misconstruing of her words. Snopes.com itself admits that all of the quotes are real and merely tries to provide context, but I did not find that the context changed the meaning of what she said at all. In fact, the context was exactly what I expected it would be!

You people jumping all over Amadeus obviously did not read the site. Some of you need to read the site and apologize.

Well I am voting Obama. At least he has reasonable commitments/promises and has a good track record in public office.

Anyone that cites "she is a woman" as a reason is really out-of-touch with the modern world, nothing in her gender stops her for being a good president, she may be totally unfit for doing the job for other reasons, but not gender.

Why do you hate Hillary?

My most initial reason for hating her is own stated inclination to tax most Americans at 75 percent of their income and put the people on a massive Federal Welfare-like system where you are assigned a living budget granted by the government and your healthcare and other needs are provided for.

So, essentially, she is not just a socialist. She is a Communist. She is also very dishonest. I believe that she bought Jewish votes in her election campaign for her office and others from left-over favors bought from the Clinton Pardons. She has been seen to change position over issues, even by the day, just to please the crowd. She is the most poll-driven public official that I have ever known.

I agree... her political background, especially as first lady behind Bill gives her valuable experience -- THAT should be the only factor viewed, outside of stance on issues.

Hillary will most likely be the democrats candidate, but she'll lose the presidential elections. I don't expect her to become President.
Bingo! I don't want her to win because it will unite the Republicans. If she doesn't get to be the canidate then the Republicans will be too busy sqabbleing amoung themselves to put up a good fight.

You gotta be kidding me. I'm reading your sentence as "she wants to take away 3/4 of your wages in tax", and I can't believe that. Could you source your statement please?

...another reason, that I'm going to ACTUALLY POST AND DEFEND:

She's pretty much Satan.
