That "good sandwich culture" is not universal across the US either. I have a lot of food choices, but the only sandwich in walking distance of my girlfriend's house is Subway.

If it were two sauces, I'd be able to scape one off and leave the other. You are just plain wrong.![]()
I guess I'm lucky to live in Southern California, where it seems that a Jersey Mike's is never more than 10 minutes away.
Not that Jersey Mike's is great either, but it's about as good as I think it's possible for a national chain to be, their italian sub never fails to satisfy.
The first mistake was going to a Subway.
are that many places in America where you can't just go to your local deli for a sandwich.
I realize that living in the urban northeast I am blessed with a plethora of delicious local options for food, but I have a hard time imagining that there are that many places in America where you can't just go to your local deli for a sandwich.
My friend told me that in America there are like no Chinese places. Meanwhile where Iam have an endless choice for Asian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese food. For sandwiches there is only Vietnamese roll or Subway.
99% of our Chinese restaurants are the General Tso
I mean, Safeway sells better sandwiches than Subway. The problem is they are ubiquitous and quite literally everywhere--there are more Subways than McDonalds.
It was Subway, calling it a good sandwich is a bit of a stretch regardless of how the kid ruined it.
Here in Sydney we dont have any kind of good sandwich culture that the US has. The only sandwich options where I work are Subway or Vietnamese pork roll or Donna kebab. And $7aud for a footlong is a good value for two quick meals.
I might eat all of that, if I were seven.
How many made what some people called suicides? Go to the self serve drink station and pour a little bit of everything into one cup. How many of us didn't do that, or similar, as children?
