Love it or leave it was not an anti-war message and I've heard it enough from people of the same race to know its not about race but "patriotism" and the tendency in people to equate what they want with all thats good and what opponents want as bad. Tristan, you don't understand transgender issues, either. Your caricature was mocking, but only for those who don't understand the topic. It mostly just comes across as ignorant. A caricature requires features that the audience can recognize. You need to broaden your base of understanding.

I wasn't making a caricature of "transgender issues." I was trying to construct an example of this psychotic effort to see racism and sell racism in everything, ad absurdam. It just didn't get through to you. Not much more to say.

To be honest like zerker says, I do not really know if the man is a racist. I can perceive his motives in these tweets readily, but not his sentiments. I do not buy the wall-to-wall screaming that he is a racist, because it comes from the press and I can perceive their motives readily, too.

Love it or leave it applies to all opponents, go back applies to immigrants, go back and fix your country is even more specific - Omar. Now maybe Trump thought 1-3 of the others were immigrants, but I think he had her on his mind. A refugee immigrant trashing the country offends much of the patriot crowd, the fact she's black aint relevant. If she was white they'd be telling her to go back too.

I think that the only way Trump isn't a racist is if he is literally senile and doesn't understand what he is saying.
Even so, though, he might just be building on previous, non-senile, racist views.
Can't be that indifferent or oblivious to what in the US is by all means an ongoing and massive issue (racial problems) so as to use the phrase "if you don't like it go back" (and then return etc).
I mean, that is a kindergarten stunt: "oh, I wasn't aware what the phrase meant: it is because I am so non racist that I literally blocked out any possible reading of what I said as racist". Come on, he is 70+ years old, not 5

It is racist because it is aimed at people who actually are from the U.S. of A. and it's pandering to all those who believe in second-class citizenship for all those who don't fulfil racial requirements. And that is what already has been said, over and over. And that is why you are a hypocrite arguing in bad faith. David Duke applauded Omar when she was criticizing the Israeli lobby. Is Trump pandering to the racists when he attacks Omar for her (alleged) anti-semitism? Duke's head is gonna explode! No, he was pandering to the patriot base of the GOP. They're the people who think immigrants, especially refugees, should be thankful to be here.

That doesn't make it racist. And you're lecturing me about arguing in bad faith after repeatedly misrepresenting my position? This might be true but honestly their policies aren't all that whackadoodle.

Healthcare as a human right would move the entire planet to a better place, it should be a human objective.

Energy free from fossil fuels would improve the future of the planet for human habitation forever, it should be a human objective.

Education for all the people capable and eager would improve the two prior policies possibility and should be a human objective.

Those are their three main policies. The "progressive pledge" or whatever nonsense they call it.

And just what 'sense' is there in telling Omar to go back? Are you saying that isn't racist? I dont know who else Trump meant of the 4, but I doubt he thought all of them were immigrants from shattered countries. Only Omar fits the description he gave. You can accuse Trump of hypocrisy, illogic and ignorance and I'll agree. But racism? Nope, it isn't racist to accuse a refugee of ingratitude.

Epic fail on forestalling criticism. Everyone that matters already knows that Berzerker and Tristan wouldn't call D'ump a racist if D'ump reinstituted slavery, so getting them "on the record" denying that D'ump is a racist was a pointless exercise.
