You're buying into the claim that Pence is actually a Christian, practicing the Ministry of Christ and the Apostles, and sincerely trying to follow the Path to Salvation. Trump bought into that claim, too, as is evident in his self-admitted reason for tapping him as his running mate.
Maybe you could reinterpret my comment taking into account that as a practising Christian I consider Mike Pence and the movement he quietly represents to be a lower-case antichrist, as I've said quite a few times?
His Orangeness
You actually conjured the melody of the Londonderry Air in my mind's ear with that.

just as an aside , a "war on American soil" can be like upto 220 millions killed , with the current Russian inventory and stuff .

Saw a FB ad for Biden where he's babbling about some old car for 60 seconds. WTH... :hmm:

Saw a world in which my president was guilty of so much criminality and norm breaking my nation went from a first world sort of balanced nation into the ******** country he loathes so much.

The United States is pretty new to mass feelings of their President that way. Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the former Soviet Union are old hands at that feeling. And Trump hasn't even personally done remotely close to as many crimes and atrocities as many of those Third World Presidents. Americans really, unless their 1st Generation Immigrant Naturalized Citizens from such Third World Countries, really have no clue about true tyranny, authoritarianism, and abuse of power given the out-of-proportion, hyperbolic, and "Anti-Christ," complex griping they give Trump. The fact that quite a few of those horrid, despotic, bloody-handed, and human-rights-abusing tyrants in the Third World were installed by Americans, or came to power as a response to, and overthrowing, and an American installed tyrant, is almost ironic. Of course, this tract is NOT meant to excuse or support Trump - he is horrid, on the American scale of "horrid," and he does he need to go - but to provide some perspective and proportion to the over-the-top wailing and gnashing of teeth, and the fact that Biden, as a Senator, has long been a supporter of endless American foreign policy schemes to install the Third World tyrants I mentioned above, and think nothing of it.

Meh thats hyperbole, we're still pretty 1st world

All the more reason Biden should be talking about some real **** not about some old car

Reminds me of the "mayor fiddles while Rome burns" quote I'd see in the original Civ

Is that the commercial that's nostalgic for American-made muscle cars and a look to the future of American-made electric muscle cars?

Who knows. It's all about getting the truck fleets hybrid first. Then the scums can buy the used stuff for home once it has eaten most of the depreciation. Everyone else is just playing with their dicks. Lots of weekend warriors on their bikes this year.

There is nothing religious in my post about this moron in chief and his sycophants debasing the nation while *****ing about nations who are not much worse. The GOP celebrants Russia and "eastern bloc" nations for their "strong" leaders.

See above and yes Biden sucks and is a chump.

he is reaching out to the young . He might be 70 something , nothing to share with young people who have just started to work and the like and he can understand them because when he himself was young there were still fast cars and to buy them you had to work extra time ... And he is still being more responsible than Trump , like when Trump ever "worked" in the way people work ?

not seen the ad , but ı used to watch the Madmen and it is awesome that Biden is now chief talking thing or number two in New Turkey , because he liked talked against the PM in debates(?) in December last year and this is a coup attempt !

My use of the term "Anti-Christ," complex was not strictly religious, but used in a broader sense of hyperbolic, highly exaggerated villainization of a leader - much like "Messiah," complex and "God," complex are not strictly used religiously. Also, to be fair, though Donald Trump and a few of his advisors and personal staff celebrate Russia and other "Eastern Bloc strong leaders," the vast majority of the Republican Party have never made any such praise, and, whenever they may have spoken on the issue, have only condemned such Governments with the language and rhetoric as though the Cold War were still going on. Also, Trump praising "East Bloc strong leaders," doesn't mean he's at all accomplished the acts of tyranny, repression, or domestic atrocity they have, or even have come as remotely close to it as you and many other Americans claim. As I said, most Americans have no idea at all what it's like to live under a true tyrant - hence the highly exaggerated rhetoric about the Trump Administration, even if it is a piss-poor government.

Winning in the state legislatures, US house and senate is a good way to build foundations for your future access to the presidency. If you have the presidency but nothing else you don't get much done (like in the Obama years).

Obama had Dem House and Senate majorities his first two years, and kept the Senate for an additional four, it was only his last two years when he didn't have either. So not really a good example.

True, I meant the second part of the Obama years

That's because the US actually has a weak executive branch, which was the intention. Every election cycle I try to emphasize the point to anyone who will listen that presidential elections and the office of the president itself really isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things. It's the legislature that holds all the power. People like to bring up the fact that the president commands the military when making claims to the importance of the office, to which I counter that it's Congress that funds the military and the president can only use the military for a limited time without congressional approval. So while the Constitution says the president is the Commander-in-Chief, as a matter of practicality, Congress is really in command of the military.

This outsider looking in the Dems focus to much on the presidency's.

So the GoP got to draw the electoral maps and took control of state legislature.
