Eh, it's the way things shook out. Bulgaria got its ass handed to it in the Eurasian War but got bailed out by Radko Dimitriev's Russians and Leopold von Bayern's Germans. The Ottomans put up a good fight for several years but collapsed rather dramatically in 1918-9.

Ha, I'd have guessed Scandinavia to be more liberal in this regard. Also, lol at former Yugoslavia - united in opposition to prostitution

(BTW, brothels may be technically illegal here, but they exist as "clubs". Everyone knows what it is, and obviously they're not breaking any laws, so...)

No, I haven't played the game for a while. However, if anything, it taught me to hate Turkey - do you know how many reloads it took me to finally crush it, playing as Byzantium? And then dealing with their pirates and rebellions, Gods I hate them so much...

The whole point is to make the Turks experience the fate they've imposed on all the countries they brutalized throughout their long and bloody history. Leaving them with a rump state will give them an opportunity to contemplate their past and present behaviour
