completely unrealistic borders.
completely unrealistic borders.
Justice is blindAs you can see, the Kurds, the Armenians, and the Greeks - all of whom were subjected to (near) genocidal policies by the Turks in recent history - profited handsomely from this partition.
Right, because every living Turk is actually an Ottoman aristocrat. The whole point is to make the Turks experience the fate they've imposed on all the countries they brutalized throughout their long and bloody history. Leaving them with a rump state will give them an opportunity to contemplate their past and present behaviour![]()
Ethnic Turkish inhabitants in territories returned to Greece and Bulgaria are allowed to stay under certain conditions (namely they change their names to Greek/Bulgarian equivalents, convert to Orthodox Christianity, send their sons to serve in Greek military's elite units, and pay a special "convert tax" for a period of 25 years). Those who refuse will be repatriated to the newly established Turkish State. Georgians, Armenians, and Kurds are free to do with the Turks as they did with them in the past.

Nonsense. Everyone knows that the Ottomans weren't responsible for that stuff. But every Turk alive now did serve in the army from 1914 to 1923 and/or is Mehmed Talaat or Ahmed Cemal reincarnate.Right, because every living Turk is actually an Ottoman aristocrat.
Well, "long and bloody history" implied that he was including some earlier grievances as well, so I suppose it's possible that they are both? They certainly seem to have the lifespans for it.Nonsense. Everyone knows that the Ottomans weren't responsible for that stuff. Well, if he's talking about the Turkman raids of the 1070s, they wouldn't be either Ottomans or aristocrats.Well, "long and bloody history" implied that he was including some earlier grievances as well, so I suppose it's possible that they are both? They certainly seem to have the lifespans for it.
Well, we've certainly learned that the average Turk has a diverse resume, doesn't he?Well, if he's talking about the Turkman raids of the 1070s, they wouldn't be either Ottomans or aristocrats.![]()
When pushed to the brink of destruction, the Ottomans shall rise again!
There is no justice in massacring a culture, which is what you were advocating. I'm not forgiving Ottoman and Turkish sins, but what we have to deal with is who lives where today, and maintaining the cultures we have today, not mire ourselves in the past. Now I for one believe that Turkey should let the Kurds their own country. Turkish government actions in Kurdistan have been deplorable, but your lighthearted tone continues to disturb me.

>mfw restructuring Anatolia like that will lead to a never-ending Arab-Israeli-style conflict![]()
Found like that I can't be bothered to make my own.Oh my god, was that map like that when you found it or did you save it with the most compression?
I have a feeling that you may be causing a lot of the mega turkey maps.I am not advocating anything, I am just having a good time trolling the Ottoman-/Turkophiles, which sadly are in a majority on this forumThats why maps of mega-Turkey are always applauded, while maps of rump Turkey are somehow considered "offensive".
