What's the Tuquoise like color around the Masurian lakes and Baltic coastal areas?

Also Green being forest is surprising because the entire region is covered in thick forest. I'm surprised they specifically selected certain minor forests here and there and not half the map.

Only large contiguous forests (die Großen zusammenhängenden Waldungen) are marked, and then only forests designated as crown, state-owned, community-owned or privately-owned.

Ah I see, the Turquoise is state owned forests and the green is privately owned forests. That would make sense given Masuria being one big forest. Thanks alot.

When did you learn German btw? :p

An extension to the map of the fantasy island I posted a while ago:

fantasyworldpreview.jpg

Human kind in this world evolved in the north-eastern part of the huge Pangaea-like continent; however, the first great civilisations arose around the inland sea in the western part. The north-west peninsula is culturally roughly analogous to Europe. The settled civilizations of this world face periodic raids and destructive invasions by the various steppe nomads that roam the huge expanses of interior grasslands; civilisations that want to last thus need some sort of natural protection from them. Seafaring isn't really very advanced in this world and thus the island was (accidentally) discovered only recently. The highest level of development is analogous to the late middle ages/Renaissance period in our world. Gunpowder doesn't work in this universe.

Colours should be intuitive:

Yellow = deserts/semi-deserts
Orange-yellow = dry savannas
Yellow-green = grasslands/steppes
Pinkish-brown = tundra
Disgusting Green = marshlands/equatorial rainforests
Standard Green = mixed forests/subtropical rainforests
Dark Green = taiga woodlands
Brown-Gray = mountains

That's a nice map. I assume that the much smaller landmass in the top left corner isn't to scale?

wuv island in the north?

That's the original Island I drew and posted here a few months back:

Spoiler :
islpspreview.jpg

I photoshopped it into this map which shows the whole rest of the world. It's approximately in the right place, although the projection and scale might be a bit weird; I was too lazy to properly integrate it into the picture ;)

Those are some ugly borders, too many snakes and not enough blobs. Also, Britain is just awful, the border would never N/S but always W/E.
It's based on the idealized primary method of generating ecologically friendly electricity in each region.
