Altered Maps XIV: Cartographical Consistency

Frankly I think that map just contains "cartoon" characters the guy who made it could find.

Here's something much more iconic from Norway
Spoiler :

I think the series is called "Elias", the name of the main character, who is like a rescue ship. It's rather new, but I haven't heard about it for quite some time.

I love it. :D

Impossible not to.

Hmm. I think I live somewhere between Mount Death and the lake of putrid and terrifying monsters.

You gotta admit, the view is scenic.

There's echoes of Narnia as well. It's basically a whole bunch of fantasy clichés, all on the same map, but yes, the east/west thing (amongst others) is a definite Tolkien thing.

Panama, apparently. Back when it was still under American control.

Specifically an American military base in Panama, not Panama per se. If he had won I'm sure a few people would've raised a ruckus about whether he would've qualified to be President because of this (though *probably* not as much as the Obama birther movement) but I think most legal and academic experts agreed that McCain qualified for the Presidency.
