  2. 2.
    Law
the real point of an action.
"damage is the gist of the action and without it the plaintiff must fail"
:yup:

Although it sucks that Alexander the Great's famous fresco is barely visible ^^
Also, Russia should have Catherine and not her german-loving miracle-of-house-Brandenburg enabling son.
Ok....
1. That's supposed to be Peter the Great, not the other Peter later. Different Peters.
2. When you say Katherine you don't actually mean Katherine the Great, you mean, as best as i can tell, Elizabeth.
3. Peter isn't Elizabeth's son either. She's his aunt.
4. I wouldn't know, but i'm rather confident none of them gave much of a damn about this Byzantine business you are talking about.
5. As if Katherine wasn't omglazors enough, she actually met Frederick when she was like 12 or something and allegedly he talked to her, like voluntarily and unnecessarily. And as far as Frederick goes that's saying something.
You're probably thinking of Peter III, husband of Catherine II (preceded her) and his son, Paul (succeeded her).
Anyway... I see you don't discriminate in your vendetta against Germany.:crazyeye:

You do know Catherine was German too, right? :mischief:
As i see Yeekim had most of this covered.
Why has nobody liked Yeekim's (evil "antibyzantine") post?
What kind of an amateurish organisation are we running here?

You could aim for "Peter the almost-as-great" but it doesn't have the same ring to it.

It's hard to tell. Orlov was a big supporter of the "Greek Project" and he was the Empress's favorite. He was in command of the fleet that sailed into the Aegean, tried to raise a Greek rebellion, and annihilated the Ottoman fleet at Çeşme. The Empress was certainly willing to indulge in Byzantinist propaganda to support the effort as well. What seems likely is that for a few campaigning seasons in the 1768-74 war, when it seemed like Orlov and Rumiantsev might have been on the verge of destroying the Ottoman Empire, she took the Greek Project seriously, but at all other times she was more realistic about her aims.

By the time the Empress died, the Greek Project was well and truly dead.

After a reign of 6 months and getting deposed by his own wife, Peter the Pathetic sounds more fitting...

EDIT: Ofc the truly embarrassing thing is, I've no idea who is supposed to be on Estonia. At least we didn't get Latvia treatment...

ı don't know , maybe ı should really get people to talk how they put a stake on the top of the coffin or something back in the 70s when them in Bucharest got far too independent of the Warsaw Pact and started backing people even when Moscow wasn't , you know , as a lark .

and once again how much ı hate Xenforo , now that it like hides the thread from me , even if ı had posts here . Am ı hideous or what ?

The only reason the forum is hiding the thread would be if you have the thread starter on ignore

am a civilized person , ı ignore no one .

actually complained about it in the past . Apparently when one doesn't open the thread while there's an alert , Xenforo decides you have no more interest and cuts it off . Must make sense if one has posted in a million threads in a given forum . So , ı open every thread in the alerts and somehow see ı have lost tracks of many threads and whatever . ı have nobody on ignore list , have no idea where's that in the first place . And , mind you , ı never seen the thread starter saying anything against me , why would ı ignore him ?

ı didn't find it particularly likely that you had TF on ignore, but that is the more obvious way to just have the forum make all the thread disappear :)
Ie i wasn't really claiming you did. Not that TF is untouchable; he is an anarchist so he better not feel so entitled :D
