Yes that would make sense wouldn't it!
Well, I lived in Upstate NY for 13 years so I developed an irrational loathing for NYC. Not all suburbs are created equally, some of the ones here in the Twin Cities are ok, though many are as you described.Originally posted by Hygro
NYC is not anywhere near as arrogant is Anysuburb, USA.
Nobody ever goes to Minneapolis. It is too far away from everywhere and not on the way to any other place that people visit. Although it is a fabulous place to live, I suspect it may not be as fun to visit. It is the people that make the place, if you didn't know any of our amusing lunatics and had nobody to hang out with, I could see it being boring.Originally posted by earendil
Has anyone ever been to Minneapolis?

I don't think that they are mean or awful. It is just that they are so convinced that they live in the greatest city in the world, that it makes them kind of provincal. Many New Yorkers can't even find Minneapolis on a map but are still convinced that Midwesterners are all a bunch of hicks. Just a thought from "flyover country".Originally posted by sysyphus
The old sterotype that New Yorkers are mean awful people is completely false.

NYC has too many people, smells bad, and is the most arrogant place on Earth.
