Buying England one extra hit point. I'm not a fan of the early version of the tune, but the soaring version that appears in the Atomic age is majestic. There are others on this list that surely deserve to be knocked out first.

Sorry, Australia, I can't stand any version of your song in any era.

Really tough, a lot of good choices and not many bad. A few truly Epic pieces like Russia Atomic or America Industrial.

Still, the peace themes for Byzantium, Arabia and Shoshone in Civ V still are head and shoulders better while the War themes of England, Poland, and Portugal were phenomenal.

As promised, a break from your regularly scheduled Germany bashing. I considered downvoting Norway since their theme is also sleep inducing but I felt it'd be a bit too obvious, so instead I shifted my sights not at what was most boring, but least epic. Brazil and Australia immediately come to mind, it's very hard to imagine I'm building a civilization to stand the test of time when I'm listening to glorified dance music that's way too fast and upbeat, but at the very least I admit they're good songs on their own just not thematically appropriate. Then I listened to India's again. Not only does it lack any sense of grandeur or epicness it's got a terrible beat in the earlier versions and even in the industrial and atomic era it sounds like elevator music in an Indian Hotel. Not an impressive or even well made song.

While nowhere near as good as the wonderful Vive La Quince Brigada from Civ 5 (especially the swashbuckling war theme) it's still not a bad theme and I don't think it deserves to tank this early. It's got a very thematic beat and good tempo, just a shame that it has so much build up for what is ultimately a very flat crescendo.

Firaxis has always struggled to come up with original music for the Aztecs. Civ 6's version makes me wish that Firaxis had stuck with Tenochtitlan Revealed, or even the Civ 5 version.
