Common sense surrenders.

I disagree with people using abortion as convinient solution (though I don't know anybody who thinks that way, and that includes some not-best-citizens people back from my "basic school" (1-9)), I think that young and/or poor women have really hard choice (and no adoption is quite stupid argument, beside the fact that it is not that easy, thee is also the fact that there are not so many people who simply want to adopt, plus it does not solve everything you know), if people misuse it, it is really bad and I fel immoral, but to regulate it I would have to regulate those that I believe have rightful claim, so I leave it between people and God. Speaking of Him, dear God, I am sorry, I really didn't want to turn this into another of "those threads".
D'you think the people who buy "I love Abortion" t-shirts think it's a terrible thing? Do you think the 90+% of women who have abortions for reasons unrelated to health of life think it's a terrible thing? Not as terrible as being pregnant for couple months, apparently. Pro-Choicers often seem to say that abortion is a terrible thing and shouldn't happen - and yet, most support keeping it legalized for anyone, for effectively any reason at any time. And you shall know them by their fruit....I don't care what you say, I care what you do, and what you actually support. You can say something is terrible, but if you support it happening, then I don't think you truly believe it is.

Do that people that buy Che Guevara t-shirts think communist guerillas are terrible thing? As I said, I also have another measure, than health of mother and child, I find it better for girl to have an abortion, stay in high school, get a degree and have two kids with partner she established good relationship, then for her to drop out to have a kid, then three more, while living with her partner who is her partner, because they have a child together and none of them is very happy about it, all the while living in trailer park. So care, but your care has no reason to be made into a law, seeing as it is not objective. That you can believe, btw do you support war, any war? Wars are horrible too, yet I support a fair number of them.

It's called social liberalism. It's the same reason why people who absolutely hate looking at pornography would not want to outright ban it, or why someone who absolutely feels that gays are disguisting would still support gay rights.

You also need to realize that the same people have different fundamental assumptions on the matter; so unless you try to put yourself in their shoes, you're not going to get anywhere when debating.

Can one of my European friends explain exactly what the heck is going on here? Even in the backwoods of the American south, where abortion would be illegal in a heartbeat without the USSC, they've never been able to stop a woman from going somewhere where she could get one...

Religion is a poison when taken seriously.

The "funny" part is that countries like Poland and Ireland that don't allow abortions have actually a lot of them, only done outside the country. Atheist countries like Czech Republic are, according to statistics, much more "moral".

I wonder why...
