When you play forum games with multiple accounts, you tend to find lots and lots of stuff that could be passed off as period pieces. Those are too late for an assumed mediaeval period, but they're still good fun.
Except ofcourse the whole "storming of the Winter Palace" imagery is propaganda. Didn't happen. Personnel present actually welcomed what "revolutionaries" approached. No need for any storming there.

That was the February Revolution. In the October Revolution, it was bombarded from the Peter and Paul Palace and the battleship Aurora, and then stormed by Red Guards.
Its debated whether the Aurora was in ship-mode or whether it had transformed into bipedal mode, hence the controversy surrounding the above image.
I wasn't talking about the Februari Revolution. There's an actual documentary with interviews of surviving Palace personnel telling it was "enacted" later. In reality however, nothing heroic happened. No struggle, no combat. Some furniture got broken, if I recall correctly, that was about it.
