There are cases where it is appropriate for police to use firearms if they have them. These should be where there is imminent threat of potentially fatal harm coming to themselves or someone around them. In these situations they should probably shoot to kill. If they are not in such a situation they should not discharge a firearm.You mean when police fire, it should be aimed ?... or the police should not shoot at all ?
I am struggling to think of the logic where it would be good. Do the protestors not know they have guns? Are the protestors willing to use lethal force in the presence of armed police, but are going to be frightened enough by a police officer shooting into the air? I just do not get it.
