How are you "half" Christian?

How bout them (insert your local sports team here). 
The only reason I asked about playing as Justinian a few posts back is, the more I study Byzantine history (for post-grad studies), the more I want to play an RFC version of them. Just wondering. I mean has anyone successfully played the Byzantine's in Leoreth's version. If you have, just let me know how you were able to.
Also, maybe we could try not picking fights on poor Leoreth's forum.

I played them in the 600AD start without the game crashing. I did not win, but I did well overall. This was on an earlier version.

Byzantines worked before the Persian respawn bug was introduced although their was some issues with about 1 in 5 games crashing before the byzzie spawn (due to Rome UP bug). Pretty sure downloading the latest version and then disabling the respawns as per Leoreth's instructions in an earlier post would work.

Well okay, I recently just tried. Downloaded 1.72, and ran it. I guess I have to remove the older version or something? When I loaded the mod, it only brought up the normal BTS menu, just with the RFC backdrop. Trying to load a game as the Byzantines, it loaded me with Viking specs, but with Viking stuff, settling Oslo on the first turn. I think I majorly f'd something up. Notice I said "I," not Leoreth or anybody else. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here.

I won't pretend to have a clue what is happening there, just try deleting all of the DoC stuff you currently have in your mod folder and download it again.
Why? Nuclear weapons are the best part of the game. Nothing beats plastering Russia with a hail of ICBMs...
