I don't tend to mind crowds. Biggest one I've ever been in was when Lynyrd Skynyrd played a free show downtown Nashville on New Year's Eve. I loved being around that many people singing along to Sweet Home Alabama.

I do not like masses of humans that may be gross or dangerous.

What type of crowd? I don't like being squashed on morning trains, but being in a bustling place can be nice. It depends entirely on the situation.

Crowds are herds of animals that block all movement. Can't stand them.

Or you're the herd animal lost and confused, unable to mentally calculate nor intuitively ascertain a smooth path of travel.

:mischief:

I love crowds, but not as much as I used to. Crowds are great for crowd sourcing and crowd wisdom. Crowds are great for becoming positive mobs, sending good vibes of energy as they cheer and celebrate. Crowds can also descend into horrible things, or become unnecessarily stressful when the crowd isn't at ease or feeling good. Or if you're not quite in sync that day.

It's frustrating if you're completely hemmed in on all sides by people who walk three times slower than you. And since I usually don't walk so much as stride, that's most of the time.

Concert? Sure. Party? Sure. Everyday life? No, get the eff away from me. Having to deal with daily life in NYC? Sounds like a personal hell.

Bustling place.

Ewww.

I agree with the several people who have said it is situational. If I'm watching a metal band or some kind of sporting event and there is a good atmosphere then yes. Otherwise no.

Edit: Download 2008, I am in there somewhere (or more likely, I'm in the beer tent)

Oh, that's a bad crowd. I mean, its ok if a concert crowd or something is going slowly, but not a city crowd.

I like crowded subways and trains. I think they are fun. Plus more opportunities to make eyes with cute women. I don't like crowded busses. Those are terribad.
