Since we are back to election news, I hope the possibility of a stronger Democrat down ballot push plus Texas governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton's revenge tour ends up screwing over the state Republicans.

For context, Abbott and Paxton helped primaried a bunch of Republicans who went against Abbott's school vouchers initiative or voted for Paxton's impeachment/removal from office.

It won't do anything for the state since Lt Governor Dan Patrick controls the Senate.

Like everything else Trump values, he views the Presidential Medal of Freedom as a clever con. Meanwhile, once again, he looks on military servicemembers with contempt/ridicule. He looks at the Presidential Medal of Freedom as outsmarting the military servicemembers. His reasoning is that you get the "same" award, but without having to risk life and limb, so the civilian award is "better" in his eyes. In his worldview, everything is transactional... everything is about how he can exploit the system and extract advantage somehow.

UM ACKHYSUALLY not all slavery was white people enslaving black people, so it's not about race (even though it was definitely 100% about race the way America did it)
