Fall From Heaven NES

So, what factions are open for players then? Are there some that are in a pretty poor position so will probably be NPC'd?

Orange- yes, provinces are ditched, but at this point Erebus is more or less colonized already. Forts were supposed to be built in provinces without cities, to protect them.

All factions are open, but obviously some will be less attractive..

I think you should really do a ''part two'' to your story which brings the nations onto a more or less equal level. It will be more fun for everyone that way, and you will get players for all nations instead of only the better ones.

Not necessarily - some players like the challenge. Plus, the only really awesome power is already taken (), so there won't be any competition for the strongest nation.

No, I agree with Kol.
As I said, I miss the point of having a super power. Having somewhat unbalanced nations (if someone wants the challenge of playing Malakim, why not, or weakened Kuriotates) is ok, but right now the Lanun control all of their lands, which was quite large, with a lot of cities, also have Lanun senators in the Amurite senate, so will be hard to attack from there and have easy ways to foster unstability in Amurite lands, have a vassal in the Sheaim, have lots of influence over the Hippus, control all world trade, don't seem to have their smuggling operations hindered and wouldn't mind anyway because they bath in gold now. I miss the point of playing alongside that, very frankly.

There's also one thing I dislike in the update, although TheJopa couldn't know it when he wrote. Perpentach and the Khazad had agreed on two things:
1)That Malakia should remain neutral. This was even before we found out there were Malakim inside.
2)A Non Aggression Pact.
Sure, Perpie is mad, BUT he stands true to his word, so his behaviour doesn't fit.

The Lanun have four cities, which isn't that bad. Land doesn't mean anything either - plus, the actual amount they control is no greater than anyone else, it just looks that way because it's all spread out.

Now, on the rest of it you do have a point. However, I don't think that the Lanun have influence in the Amurite or Calabim nations anymore, although I may be wrong. The smuggling bit should definately be nixed, I agree there.

Granted, I'm not exactly unbiased, but I don't see the disparity as being as great as you implied. Still, Jopa did mention he might be working on a little more yet, and if he changes the situation more I don't mind at all.

Well, there are two more points I didn't mention, which are:
1) Control of the sea wrt to Doviello raids (so they are able to allow/prevent them to/from raid/raiding wherever they like).
2) Exclusive knowledge of the lands to the north, with possible diplomatic action over there or room for settling.

Your arguments about being spread out don't matter, as you have a single border, the sea, which is the most effective ever (ask Japan and England how many times they've been invaded). The only real trouble Lanun can face currently is internal, and seeing Lanun can be quite aggressive, I doubt their first target would enjoy a long lifespan.

About Balseraph Khazad agreement, well it was long time ago. Hitler and Stalin also had non aggression pact :P

Nations *are* more or less up to par ...even if it doesn't seem like that. Weaker ones do get boost and stronger aren't SO strong statistically. Lanun also have to divert part of their income to 'culture and luxury' during peacetime to prevent them from being a juggernaut (they will still have largest income). I'll make sure it's balanced. On the other side I do want some stronger nations and some weaker. If all are the same it's not as interesting.

I want MOST nations equal in strength, and differences not being drastic. I want some nations stronger in economy, some in army and some internally. Particularly Lanun are weak diplomatically. Controlling trade and allowing Doviello...

I thought that the Lanun had a weak land force and was allied (well, kind of) with the Doviello, who are trying to eat every single lliving being in Erebus

@Orange: Hello old buddy, old pal....

Jopa, when do you think you can send us stats? in case you don't know, my emial is Kim.seonwoo@gmail.com

Orange: I won't gun for you... I am too wimpy to hurt a mod and Doviello seems too troublesome

Umm... Why? It's not like he's going to trash your nation/player in his NES just because you attack him in this one.
