It was nice hearing something about the calabim from someone else's point of view, although moroi are generally big, beefy men lol. A more appropriate role for a woman would have been a haloi agent, but hey I guess she could have been an exception.

Thank you both- i wasn't really sure about it but now i am happy i posted it after all.
When i was thinking of the story, i was going to make the father the maroi (hence the original description of his physique), but then i decided that it would be a nice spin to have the much smaller motherly figure as a soldier.
Also, the spin for why my priests are so upset with the vampires (even though you painted them as not so bad really) is that they prevent souls from reaching Junil's vault which to them would be a great tradgedy.

It would indeed, if any of my victims were ever going to Junil in the first place .
Although, as I think I described in my last story, the Vampires ''cleanse'' the souls, feeding on the sin, allowing the victim to be redeemed and accepted into Aeron's vault. I was trying to make it as compatible with Order values as possible. (it also explains why Vampires only feed on the worst of criminals, anything less then a murderer isn't particularly worth it. Although, something to note is that what Aeron considers a sin is vastly different to what other Gods probably do, including, Second Book of Aeron, Chptr, 38 vrs 9 ''allowing your son to murder a man while particpiating in a bar fight.'' for example.

I don't know if feeding on a non-Aeron-worshipping person would give the soul back to their God or not though. (its unlikely because the worship of most other Gods is also considerred a sin)

Hi guys, I'm back and i'm glad that you haven't NPCed me. I will undergo my diplomacy ASAP but i have a bad news for you: It seems that I cancelled, instated of sending, message for Loki and I've been waiting for his answers for few days. I know it's only my incompetency and thereby i'm offering my apologies, pound of my flesh and my first-born son as an Atonement. I'm sorry but this means that my idea that everything will be polished by tommorow's evening is one day postponed.

The Lanun regret to inform that hostilities against the Kuriotate will continue at this time. We tried, we really did, to forge a peace treaty - but the actions of Cardith Lorda allowed no other option, and were insulting to boot.
Honestly, the Lanun could have understood if the Kuriotates had accepted our offer. Sometimes, you have to surrender your ship to fight another day. We'll accept that, and think no less of a captain who does an honest surrender after a good fight. We would even accept if the Kuriotate would decide to fight on. We ourselves are more inclined to the expedient option, but fighting against the odds is as honorable a way to fight as any.
What we do not understand, and will never understand, is the path that the Kuriotates have taken in the matter. Silence? After we offer a chance at peace, the Kuriotates claimed to be "considering" it... then nothing. This is either foolishnessm ineptness, or a dishonorable and ill-considered attempt to buy time. We'll have no more of it - whatever truce may have been concluded is now lost, for now. Should the Kuriotates wish to change their puzzling stance, the Lanun will be willing to listen, but for now, the war marches on.
