Yeah. Seven "none of the above" answers render the thing not very useful.
Yeah, I had to go with none of the above several times. So not great choices.
Same here, I had something like 6 non-answers. Other times I agreed only partially, but picked that choice just because I didn't want to give another non-answer. So it's only working with 5 out of 11 questions, not nearly enough to generate a useful test.
I am never buying another copy of USA Today if this is the tripe they come up with. If this poll is really in line with America's options...we're just waiting for Odoacer at this point.

Okay, so I took the test, did my weights, and here's my "matched" candidate:
Obama, 4/11, 47.0%
Perry, 2/11, 40.9%
Huntsman, 2/11, 38.9%
I played around with it afterwards, and it appears that my answer to Afghanistan (reduce troops, do intelligence work) is supported by both Perry and Huntsman. My selection on desired experience boosted Perry to the #2 spot over my partial agreement with Huntsman on defense spending. Obama had a base with experience, defense spending, but he gets a boost from my answers to Medicare and immigration.
And my nightmare candidate:
Paul, 7/11, 76.5%
Perry, 5/11, 58.9%
Santorum, 5/11, 58.9%
(and it looks like Bachmann is really close in 4th, maybe if I fool around with the weights she will sneak into the top)
I think it says something about this test that my matched candidate is also part of my worst nightmare. And all the percentages for the nightmare candidate are much higher than in my matched candidate.
