We sent it to them in our last message, but they said nothing about it.

greekguy, how's about re-writing your message to tell the Greeks we don't want to send the battle logs but would consider doing so (on a regular basis) if we signed a 60 turn peace treaty.

ok, how's this:

Dear MIA,

Our military is still in decent shape, even with the big battle we had recently. We are currently rebuilding our forces and should attack the KISS cities soon. We will put an end to the Gallic prescence on our continent in a matter of time.

As answered by donsig in the chat, the Galls have access to Ivory through Auda City. Since they didn't pillage the roads connecting their three cities, and they built a harbor in Malice, they can send Ivory back to their capital. However, their supply will be cut off rather abruptly after some "shipping" problems. ;)

Concerning the Battle Logs, my team has decided to not provide it to you. We rather not share this information mainly because we don't have an official peace treaty signed yet. We sent you a peace treaty in our last message and we were hoping for a reply. So, if you would sign the treaty and agree to 60 turns of peace, we will send you the Battle Logs.

Bye for now. :)

Why don't we try asking MIA to agree to a "border defense pact" with us?

Basically, we agree to aid eachother if any unit(s) enters either of our national borders with a hostile intent.

If they agree to it, that should keep KISS bottled up in and let us pick those three cities off on our own time.

No they wouldnt agree to that as it would violate their agreement with KISS, you cant sign an agreement like that when someone is at war.

It wouldn't be violating their agreement with KISS. They agreed that they would not declare war on KISS. If they announce that any hostile action into our terrority would be considered a declaration of war on themselves, then it would formally be KISS declaring war on them. I'm not proposing a secret alliance or anything, make it public and well known to all teams. That way they know the consequences of their actions before they do it.

I highly doubt KISS wants to deal with us and MIA at the same time, so they will most likely chose not to enter our terrority. Which gives us a nice level of comfort.

It's atleast worth a try. Even if they do refuse, it's not like we lose anything. Who knows, proposing it might even give them a new idea or two.

Latest from the Greeks:

This is to remain confidential between our two teams.

Hi TNT

Turn Report ... 133 ... Nothing has changed in the previous information.

During a chat with Donsig, he stressed TNT's frustration in our choice to uphold our treaty rather then attack KISS. Unfortunately, as was made perfectly clear some time ago ... MIA will not break a treaty ... our team decided in the early stages that we will play this game with honour and that our word has meaning. So please do not ask us to do so ever again as it is non-negotiable for us!

I am saddened that TNT feel affronted by this and therefore have decided that we are not deserving of your Battle Reports. We have been upfront with you and have sent freely and openly ALL the raw data that you requested and more. Also MIA, have sent you reports worth hours of analysis not freely available in the game, we have suggested strategies, have sent units to act as spotters and on an international level have lobbied and threatened on your behalf. I am still at a loss as to why TNT have taken this stance in holding back the requested information from us, especially since BOTH teams benefit.

However if truth be told they are not essential and it would only give us a rough estimate of KISS' military forces at this stage considering that the Idiots still have another 7 turns before they exit their Golden Age.

Peace is probably a wise option for you and we sincerely hope you succeed. We are still discussing the wisdom of attacking KISS as soon as the treaty expires as timing and surprise is essential for a military campaigne to succeed.

Invention, if you still wish it, will be another 2 turns coming.

Sincerely MIA

should i send the message i wrote up in post 403, as i didn't send it yet, or should i write up a new message to the Greeks concerning Strider's latest proposal and anything else we need to say to them?

you could i suppose, i dont really see what ultimate intelligence they have given us other than KISS is stronger than them really. Could offer the battle logs in exchange for striders suggestion?

I think that they will still consider that they will be breaking their honor if they do what Strider's idea would have them do, and remember that it is not like they expressly need us, They are a world power and might think of themselves as able, once the Golden Age for KISS is over and KISS has expended the extra resources on us, to be able to get a significent advantage. We can only use the "counterbalence" idea (or what ever you want to call it) so much you know before they get more than just annoyed at us for our reluctance to share simple information.

Give them the plans and information as "A goodwill act that you will sign the treaty" or some such thing. Although we may not entirely trust anyone, there must be a point where we trust someone. Is this ultamatly a bad thought? Who knows. There might be something else in the treaty between MIA and KISS. But that is what seems right and they have done a lot for us.

I think we should send the message as drafted. It tells them we'll give them battle reports once we have a peace treaty signed and in place.

ok, i sent the message in post 403 to the Greeks. depending on their response and your suggestions, i'll figure out if i should put Strider's proposal in the next message. :)

Do we have a peace treaty drafted that says we will have peace for 60 turns? If we get one ready we can maybe have it inplace by turn 135 so it will run through turn 195. We can even put the turn numbers in. A simple agreement that we will not go to war against each other for those turns will do. Nothing fancy, something simple that can't be misunderstood. :)

well, the treaty i sent to them a few messages ago didn't have a specific number of turns of peace, just said peace for a long time. if you want another treaty drafted i can't do it today, as i'm hom from school sick and am feeling really lousy.

Yeah, I think it would be a good idea to draft one that has 60 turns and even specifies the turns (135 through 195).

Latest from the Greeks:

Hi TNT

Turn Report ... 134 ... This is confidential and just for MIA and TNT eyes only.

Military Strengths
D-Nuts ... We have a STRONG Military
TNT ... We have an AVERAGE Military
KISS ... We have a WEAK Military

Peeking Costs
Spite - 31
Malice - 32
Auda City - 28
KISS have founded a city in our continent
... However we also believe that they commissioned 1 new settler this turn which remains unaccounted for.

Thanks for the Silk, we will be sending Invention next turn.

We agree to the 60 turns of Peace ... could you prepare the official document and I will dust off our official seal to add to the bottom of the document.

We are sincerely gladdened to hear that your recent military casualties have not set you back too much ... KISS have only 6 turns left of their Golden Age.

DO NOT BE ALARMED ... Our Knight which is in your part of the world is moving near Shilhanopolis ... We are working under the impression that we were invited and have permission to move freely.

Sincerely MIA

Ok well i think we should write up a peace treaty and then write up another proposal following striders plan.

Just received another message from the Greeks, this one concerning the war directly:

PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL

Dear Friends:

At grave risk to life and limb (Feaurius can be quite wrathful when someone else steps in on Foreign Affairs, especially when he’s been drinking), I bring you news of our mutual enemy, KISS. An hour ago, several of us received a PM from Whomp saying that they sighted our boat and that it is “in their way” and requesting that we move it. Our boat is currently located east of your harbor town of Grenadopolis(?) – there is a fish to the northwest of us and ivory 2 tiles southwest.

As of our turn, there were no KISS units in sight, but obviously they moved something in that direction on their turn. Unfortunately, we won’t know what type of units or how many until our next turn, but we wanted you to have this information before you played your current turn. Of course, this could be an elaborate feint by KISS, or they may change their plans because of our lookout, but we thought you should know.

Sincerely,

Chamnix

hmm, makes sense i guess, thats our iron source, might be a cleverer idea to move half our attacking stack up there and fortify a couple of pikes on the hill with the stack in the city, it can always move along the coast.
