1 I guess. Plenty of vegetables though rarely fresh. Very erratic sleeper. Moderate drinker in certain circumstances, no drugs otherwise. Next to no exercise and very sedentary lifestyle.

I don't eat many vegetables, my sleep pattern is horrible, but I get a decent amount of exercise, and (mostly due to lack of money) I don't drink much. Probably adds up to about a 2.

Sleep pattern is off (late nights) but at least I get enough, no drugs or tobacco and only marginal amounts of alcohol, I eat decently but probably drink too much soda, and I get some exercise a few times a week and also stay active by walking to and from work, take the stairs, etc. I think I got a solid case for a 3.

Vegetarian isn't worth anything on its own, vegetarian microwavable dinners and high-sugar/fat pastries are almost certainly worse for you than a high-meat diet.

Touché. Point being, I consume vegetables frequently.

Voted a 3. Although I pretty much never exercise nowadays, I reign superior on pretty much everything else. I get 8.5 to 9 hours of sleep a weeknight night, sometimes as much as 10 on the weekends. I drink V8 every day, and try to get a serving of vegetables and fruit with lunch and dinner, and try to drink 8 cups of fluids daily. But I also fall to the temptation of junk food every now and then though... Still, I never take any drugs or alcohol and I haven't had a serious cold since September (but a few minor ones in the past couple of months).

Yeah, 3 sounds just about right to me at 5'7, 180 pounds. Wish I could exercise a bit more, but with school I've little time and the weather in Texas summers leave me with not much more I'd want to do than swim :undecide:

Somewhere between 3 and 4, rounded down to 3.

My eating habits consist of a pretty solid core (lots of protein sources, fair amount of vegetables, staple carbohydrate sources are mainly whole-grain) with additional crap in variable amounts (chocolate, pastries etc).

I stay sufficiently active to get away with eating considerable amounts of crap even though I'm pushing 40. Normally I get in three lifting sessions (with real weights) per week except on deload weeks (I'm a low-end amateur powerlifter, I follow detailed training programs, I have spreadsheets and stuff and plan out things months in advance). Cardio is a lower priority but I do get in a few kettlebell swings, the odd hike or run on my local forest trails, and almost daily interval toddler chasing.

I barely drink alcohol anymore (sometimes have beer or wine with dinner, and I imbibe the occasional snifter of fine whisky -- but these days most weeks go by without me touching a drop) and I've never even tried smoking, never mind drugs of questionable legality (I've been in the same room as someone smoking weed two or three times in my life).

Insufficient sleep is my main nemesis, compensated by excessive coffee intake. So it goes.

3 realistically, 3.5 when I get into a workout routine which is on again off again. Right now I am off again. I eat pretty healthy, never eat processed stuff, eat lots of vegetables, low sodium, bla bla bla... but I do not exercise enough and that is my main weakness. My work is fairly sedentary and high stress which is a horrible combination. On the BMI index I am at the top of the "normal" scale on a good week, barely into the "overweight" scale on a bad week. (5'11''/175-180 lbs.)

I'm an awesome sleeper. 7 hours completely undisturbed, fall asleep quickly. When I set my alarm at a regular time, I'll usually wake up two or three minutes before it goes off. No drugs or excessive alcohol. Not the most healthy eater, but in all likelihood better than average. However, my lifestyle is quite sedentary. I'm on my feet for my part-time job (a waiter), but that doesn't nearly compenste for the rest, and isn't taxing anyway. I am bad with exercise, i.e. I do very little of it outside of walking to the train station, to work, with my dog, etc. I'm quite underweight. So 2, I guess.

Ha. According to BMI I am "obese", and I never intend to be in any lower category.

That thing bugs me! According to risk factors for heart disease I've got two--family history of high blood pressure and sedentary workdays. Plus the barely overweight thing....

...that does it, time to start my gym routine again. Thank you, this thread!

I voted three.

I avoid heavily processed food but I often overeat & eat late at night. My sleep schedule is all whacked out. I am fairly stressed & I don't exercise as often as I should.

However, I do try to make a point of exercising at least a little bit daily. I walk & ride my bike alot. I do not smoke or drink (very rarely I will drink a bit).

I am aiming to move to above 4 (but probably never 5, I don't believe it's possible to be extremely healthy living in a polluted area and I enjoy staying up late once in awhile & some vices which I may never be able to fully quit).

The poll is a great scale, but like my thread on health from about 6 years ago, it really shows the bias of the OP. Mine was on the presence of illness and the like.

I think the best measure of health is how much functional energy you have measured in hours per week, combined with how emotionally level you are. I still need to design a formula.

Usually a 3-4 but since I got a knee injury I think it is more 2-3

Don't exercise
My diet is healthy, lots of vegetables and variety but my fruit intake is very small
I try to go to bed on regular times, which is succeeding atm
I tend to drink heavily in the weekends but I'm (trying) to tone that down

I eat some fruits and vegetables everyday, probably not enough. I smoke semi-frequently(I think like 5-7 a day at this point). I haven't gotten any real exercise except walking(I walk probably ~1-2 km in a day) in about a month(mostly due to how cold it is). I occasionaly indulge in heavy marijuana use for a period of a few days in which case my life is basically me laying in bed listening to music, thinking about a bunch of stuff, watching funny videos/movies, masturbating, eating ridiculous quantities of unhealthy food and having semi-******** conversations with people. Essentially extreme laziness. I don't drink very often, maybe I get drunk twice a month or so. I definitely don't eat as much junk/fast food anymore, which I think has been very beneficial. Whenever I got to the doctor's everything is in order with my blood pressure and stuff, and I'm hardly ever sick.

I'd say 2. I definitely need to improve my health but I'm still young.

I'm surprised how few posters play some kind of sport . I don't mean the gym or dog walking , but tennis , golf , water sports , football etc . You won't ever see me in the gym but I'd hope to regularly play some kind of sport till I finally keel over on the bowling green .

You're surprised that a bunch of nerds posting on a forum about a particularly nerdy game don't play a sport? Cmon man. Us sport players are the exception here.:p
