How to stop Iran from wanting the bomb.

Only a very few regimes in the world really need to be destroyed. The current Iranian government is one; the U.S. and Israel are NOT. Many other regimes are far more destructive than the U.S. and Israel; one was Iraq, but we recently wiped that one out.

Because religious fanatics are precisely the kind of people MAD doesn't work against. So what if they die, as long as they take a couple million infidels and heretics with them??? That's how a religious nut thinks.

What exactly makes you think the Iranian leadership would act like that? When has Iran ever acted against its national interest? You're making stuff up and try to cast them as terrorists who hold themselves a nation.

Acquiring the nuke is in Iranian national interest, using it is not.

Ah. That too. Keep in mind, Iraq (under Saddam) started two unprovoked wars for basically nothing more than territorial gain. Hell, even the United States doesn't do that any more. The Saddam Hussein regime was very bad for both the Iraqi people and surrounding nations. We took care of the problem because the world community spend more than ten years dilly-dallying about it.

Side note: seeing as how the "U.S. is a big bully" is a very common angle.....do you guys really want to allow Iran to become more like the United States?

Their muslim neighbors are massive heretics as far as they are concerned. If they were concerned about a body count of improper believers they could massacre tremendous numbers with a simple blitz of any one of their heretic neighbors. They dont though, because they arent freaking idiots.

I think you're confusing religious piety with incredible lack of self-preservation as well as lack of any significant intelligence. The Iranian government may be brutal, but it is not stupid as hell. Please try to substantiate claims that Iran would use a nuke, and please don't cite their threats. By that logic North and South Korea should have been on their 40th war by now.
