I'm thinking of starting a blog

I second that. Blogs, from what I've seen, are either pointless exercises in navel-gazing, or propaganda means for some organization. Individual blogger, unless they really do something exceptional and write about that, are just wasting time trying to massage their egos. Worst, they fail at that (the egos, not the waste of time ) more often than not. Look at all the dead blogs.

But hey, I've been called a luddite...

Haha That would be awesome, I've seen something similar on a blog jointly run by two columnists from one of the reputable Czech dailies. One writes and article and the other usually inserts notes into it ("That's nonsense, I thought you knew better..." etc.) and later writes a full article in response, if necessary (and the other guy also inserts his commentaries). It's usually pretty witty and fun to read, yet it still holds some informational value

That actually sounds like a really cool idea! I'd read it if you guys were to make one

It depends on how much you mean by 'next to no one'.
In the grand scheme of things? No, but not many of do a lot in the grand scheme of things.
But you're one of the more thoughtful and original posters on CFC, and though I disagree with a lot of them, your opinions are always worth reading. So my advice is to definitely do it.

I think I get a lot more out of mine than my readers too. I'd glad people read it, but I'd continue to write even if nobody read it.

As long as the mods let you interweave your blog with your interesting threads here, I think you should do it. I like the pieces you do on here, and if you let Winner co-star at times it would be gold.
