*taps head repeatedly* These Americans are crazy!

I've never seen a corn dog before in my life.
So a 'corn dog' is just a sausage impaled on a stick, with some mustard on it?

This must be rectified!! How could you possibly go through life without experience the wholesome goodness that is a corn dog? Look, just look at it!

IT'S LIKE HOT DOG UTOPIA ON A STICK!

What is 'batter', btw?

nm, googled it, it is some kind of simply prepared sauce-like liquid.

Cause you can't have fattening foods not being dipped in fattening sauces as well

It is what you coat the hot dog in after impaling said dog on the stick, then you deep fry it. Isn't really food if it's not deep fried, after all!

Here is a link to a quick, basic batter. Others add other things like honey, etc.

euros don't know what batter is? the hell?

You forget that Kyriakos is not a native Anglophone. I certainly know what it is.

Oh right. It's just a battered sausage.

Not something I've ever fancied myself, though they're commonly available at my local fish and chip shop. I'd prefer a boiled saveloy. But very rarely.

Battered? I thought that came free, whether you wanted it to or not.

#1: You get a "Get Out of Gulag Free" card for using the SG-1/ Thor meme. :goodjob:

#2: Not only is a corn dog a hot dog utopia on a stick, it represents an important nexxus between Europe and the Americas, because without Europe, no hot dog; and without America, no corn.

Corn dogs could very well usher in an age of peace and prosperity for humanity...

That is, if Europeans can get the sticks out from their you-know-whats and instead use them for corn dogs.

Say, corn dogs are nice and all, but can't we have that discussion somewhere else? :p

I see your anemic-looking corn dog, and raise you a battered sausage.

Spoiler :

Not that I like either of them, mind you.

If you're going to correct an American, don't use American English. :)

(It's anaemic.)

Oh cram it down your oesophagus (sic). Both are underlined with squiggly red lines on my monitor.

Such fervour! I shall endeavour not to return similar rancour, but to take the words of the Political Compass to heart:

We've been at the centre of some sulphurous rancour, but we're not going to take offence or harbour any grievances. The catalogue of their ill-informed certainties won't colour this organisation's programme. It's a grey area anyway. And we don't want to labour the point.

I don't know if I should go with an Xmas theme this year...
