1: No, we don't. Our collective history has clearly shown the benefits (Certainty, lack of need for self examination) versus the drawbacks (disadvantages in Technology of all sorts, justice, social progress, military prowess, average test scores, proliferation of crime, etc). As such, there is no need nor tolerance for religion within our borders. And if you believe this is just a minority view, we are a democracy. We exist only to serve the people, and the people's history shall judge us.

2: We follow a simple system of belief: Help, or do no harm. We already know the results of any religion taking sway over our choice to understand justice, mercy and the improvement of everyone's standard of living. Those results will follow neither of our tenets, so we shall not permit them to happen to those under our protection.
