Thanks LH; I saw the IOT JUST as I was about to walk out the door for Football today and didn't have much time at all. As for the ideology, I would prefer to stay a traditionalist Empire, although I apologize for not seeing Civ Ed post it first. I only saw the post at the top of the third page.
2 militia and 2 destroyers. The 2 destroyers are off New England.
History: After the Great Crash, local warlords cropped up across the northern united states for the most part. Cities became battlegrounds, and the most valuable land was farming land being farmed. Eventually though, a man named Armitage based out of Seattle began to gather support in the west. He marshaled his forces and began to march east. By 1939 he had created a new Empire in the americas: The Empire of the North, commonly meant to mean the north of the former United States. In wake of this he took on the name of Augustus Armitage, and settled down to consolidate his conquests and establish precedents and tradition in the new Empire.
The Bogd Khan has found it in his understanding to accept this statement. He also wishes to extend a non-aggression pact to the Chinese, Japanese, and Indian nations.
RERFORMATION OF THE ASIATIC CAVALRY DIVISIONS!
Earlier today Baron Ungern von Sternberg has announced that his old regiment, the Asiatic Cavalry, is to be reinstated today. The divisions are as follows:
1ST TARTAR CAVALRY
1ST KAZAKH LOYALISTS
In addition, Baron Ungern von Sternberg has stamped the decree to create the TIMUR RECON WING as part of reforms considering the Mongolian Army.
Baron Ungern has additionally declared that each Mongol soldier is expected to fight to the death, in order to maintain his honor. Any man who surrenders is deemed a traitor to his family and nation.
Spoilerorders :
ORDERS: Use up all the MP to buy two T2 armies and one T1 Air wing
Take Glory or Death Policy
OOC: I couldn't find any mention of how to deliver orders, so I spoilered them. Sorry if that's the wrong format.
I'll accept thread orders if I see them, but if you want to guarantee I see your orders, PM. Plus, if you post one order in thread but another in PM, PM takes precedence.
Might update around 5-6 tonight depending on if I'm free.
Missing:
-Empire of the North(Arya)
-South Africa(Filli Noctus)
-CSA(Terran Emperor)
-Spanish State(Mech)
-Allied Nations(Nuke)
-Rhineland Kommune(Bair the Normal)
Also if I replied to your PM pointing out problems, I'm expecting a new set of orders. Be sure to quote the old orders or completely rewrite new ones - I will only use the most recent PMs, not 2 or 3 at a time.
Note: CSA should have 10IP, not 5. Rhineland should have 10IP instead of 5 as well. I apologize for the error.

Good morning, I'm Lighthearter of the LMCP with today's newsreel. Your feature film will start in a moment, but first I'd like to recount the major events of the last year.
All powers expanded peacefully. There is very little conflict in the world as the nations of this new age attempt to stabilize their rears before engaging in warfare. But the rhetoric is only getting worse . . . .
Ideological Powers available.
The Americas:
In South America, the Allied Nations swept northward, annexing swathes of the Amazonian jungles and old Brazil and Peru. As they attempt to push into Columbia, however, they run into an expedition from the Kingdom of Cuba. The Cuban elements are able to establish a better grasp of the local population than the Allied ones, and the blues retreat into their jungles. It is currently unknown whether the Allies will attempt to claim Columbia and Venezuela from Cuba by force, but tensions among the locals and the garrison troops I spoke to in Caracas are high.
Further north, Canadastan dispatched a force to claim Alaska. The wilderness was not easily tamed, but the Canadians have managed to eke out several bases and are accepted among the people by now. However, at the same time, a Canadian flotilla of destroyers and light cruisers set out for Newfoundland, escorting a military police force to reclaim the island. As they approached the island, they ran into a naval squadron from the Empire of the North. The Canadians attempted to negotiate with the Imperial squadron, but the Northern vessels opened fire, precipitating a naval engagement. The Canadian squadron was destroyed in action, though the marines managed to return safely to Quebec. Soon afterward the Northerners annexed Newfoundland. A full blown war between Canada and the Empire seems inevitable, but there may yet be a diplomatic solution. We can only hope.
And now, on to this year's top story. Back down in the heart of North America, the Confederate States was attacked in a sudden overland push by METH forces all along the border. At the same time, METH naval elements seized the Gulf of Mexico and established a supply chain up the West Coast, landing marine battalions all along the bayous and the California coast. Resistance was short lived in Louisiana and California, leading to widely circulated photographs of the METH flag over the Golden Gate Bridge. The Mexicans achieved a breakthrough in Arizona and swiftly conquered most of Deseret, save for some small pockets that will soon likely be stamped out. In Texas, all seemed lost, but a single Confederate commander managed to hold the METH tide in heavy urban fighting around San Antonio, utilizing the Alamo as a key defensive point. Texas and Oklahoma held, but surrounded by METH tides on both sides and with the Mexicans practically knocking on Richmond's door, it may be short-lived.
Europe & Africa:
In Europe, the Norse Union has annexed Karelia, Greenland and Scotland, staking a claim to Albion. These acts have not gone unnoticed by the French Empire, which landed marines to claim England. The two nations are not enemies, but neither are they friends, and I've spoken to several low level officers on both sides who are resigned to a war. Simultaniously, the Spanish State claimed the Canary Islands, and with them holding a partial title for the world's strongest navy, both the Norse and French fleets are wary of potential Spanish intervention in Ireland or Wales.
Further east, the Austrian Empire pushed toward Rome with full intentions to claim it, but they were beaten there by militia from the Carthaginian Union. Despite hostility, the Austrians withdrew without prompting a fight. As the Austrian elements to the north claim Poland and the east of former Germany, it is an open question how Vienna will react to losing Rome. The Carthaginians might have pushed them too hard, despite successes across Egypt, Morocco and Mauritania. Further south still, South Africa has claimed Southern Sudan and Ethiopia, beginning to form a solid power bloc in the Dark Continent that might be yet another threat to Carthage's growing prosperity.
Back in Europe, Black Russia has issued a full embargo of the Rhineland Kommune, but this has had very little impact on the nation's trading prosperity due to the Russian mercantilist heritage and significant free trader base. Russia also annexed the Caucasus and a large swathe of Eastern Europe, growing as a malignant threat on the edge of Europe, holding title to the strongest army in the world. Perhaps intimidated by this rising power, Néo Vyzántio focused its claiming efforts in the Middle East, gaining control of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Israel without undue effort. Bulgaria too was taken for the Néo Vyzántine sphere, and with all this territory comes industry greater than any other in the world.
Asia & The Pacific:
In the Pacific, the Allied Nations strike again, claiming the rest of the Australian Subcontinent. Their dual approach seems to be paying off, but it also renders them vulnerable to multiple threats, as several of their naval officers are all too aware. Meanwhile, the Japanese Federation claims Taiwan and establishes the world's first spy agency to defend its territories. It is not yet clear how the other nearby Asian powers will react, but Japan seems more than ready to fight if necessary. Despite rhetoric, the Mongolian Khanate remains isolationist, building up troops but failing to expand or construct additional infrastructure. It remains to be seen if they will turn around and become a dominant power in Asia or if they will fade into obscurity once more.
Meanwhile, legitimate conflict seems on the horizon after both the Han Dominion and the Indian States declare Tibet their sovereign territory. Both nations dispatched claiming forces into the hostile Himilayas, but the States are held up by the hard winter and the Dominion manages to convince the Indian commander to withdraw. However, the Indian Congress in Mysore might not appreciate the Imperial meddling in what they see as their sphere of influence. And, for the sake of irony, the reverse is liable to be true. Every general's nightmare - a full-scale war for the Himilayas - might be on the horizon.
That concludes this newsreel. Enjoy your feature presentation.

The Nation of the Year Award:
Every year, the Lighthearter Magazine of Country Prowess awards to one nation the Nation of the Year Award(NOTY), in recognition of one single nation's fantastic achievements and unlikely successes. This award is given to nations that stand firm and fight effectively in the face of overwhelming odds, or to nations that overrun the opposition in a flurry of violence, or even to simply the world's largest economy - the nation with the single greatest achievement receives the NOTY, which comes with 1IP and a 5% bonus to either Army, Navy, Air Force or Income. The NOTY cannot be given to the same nation two years running, but it can be awarded to a nation multiple nonconsecutive times.
For the Year 1941, the NOTY is awarded to an extraordinary nation, as always. The nation in question managed to pull off a tremendous coup very soon after solidifying after the chaos still ravaging many parts of the world. Its solders demonstrated great skill and tenacity against a powerful defense, and the siege of Texas notwithstanding, they managed to nearly wipe out the Confederate States in a single hammer blow. Thusly, it is my honor to present the Nation of the Year award to METH!

There's something wrong with this map...oh yes, the Allied Nations do not have control of one of their signatories in South America.
Unfortunately, the Allies must move on to other issues. A number of countries are calling for our efforts to uplift and bring them into the greater society. But we shall not cease diplomatic pressure for the release of our signatory states into the pact they signed.
The Norse Union declares intent of the following notions: magenta is to be claimed this year, the green of the rest of Ireland is our dreams to be if France wishes to befriend us.
On France: we are also at this stage are more akin of a defence pact than a alliance that would force us to be the aggressor of a war. This especially as we are in talks with a greater potential ally and hence wish to remain neutral on your state for now, especially in our protection of our Celtic in-laws. We of the Norse Union hence desire hence will at the moment focus on the defence side of your arrangement. We will consider further as we judge you, just as others judge us.
