Iowa's over, New Hampshire's on

Yes, although it is possible that he could be Romney's VP.
Ain't gonna happen. It just won't. It can't. Romney has the moderate vote, and that's Huntsman's forte. I really think that Romney will pick Rubio. He's got Tea Party, he's got Hispanics, he's got conservatives, and he's got a clean, promising future, all wrapped into one great pick. You can't go wrong with Rubio.

When Obama takes action that encourages abortion or Republicans at the federal level take action that discourages it, let me know.

Thats a good point. I guess for some Republicans the abortion debate is a moot point because the supreme court will strike it down and it's such a controversial subject nobody wants to risk there presidency on it.

Now, does Santorum even have the money to fund a national presidential campaign?

He got a big surge of money in the past week or so. But that will dry up again if he does really badly in NH and South Carolina.

Cutlas you voting Romney, Obama or Ralph Nadar for the general election?

Nader's not running :p I have no choice about Obama. All of the Republican programs are disastrous for the US now.

He did as a senator, trying to strike down the partial birth abortion bill. Even many democrats voted for that bill.

They really should...

I can't wait till a real conservative state (Mississippi?) actually defies the supreme court and bans abortion within their borders.

I can't wait until zombie Andrew Jacksom comes out of his grave and gets all 19th century on them.

Awwww, poor Mittens. I guess this goes to show, there are some things money cannot buy you all of (but it can buy you 99% of it).

Isn't it logical that those who would support Rommney now go more for Huntsman? Rommney seems to be the safe bet for nomination so that it won't hurt to make a more moderate point and since there's only one moderate in the race, Huntsman gets more votes because Rommney seems so safe? ;-)

I've been phone-polled four times, had two campaign reps show up at my door, my local high school has hosted three different campaign rallies/townhalls, and the (current) top five candidates have all visited my local town diner. I love living in New Hampshire. :D

I think you got a good hunch there. I'd add in his bio indicates he got some evangelical creed too. He'd balance out a Romney campaign, at least enough to encourage GOP-registered voters to vote in the general election. I wonder if Obama would dump Biden to pick up a hispanic VP?

What did you tell them?

Igloodude did you talk directly with any of the candidates?

Years ago I went up to Hew Hampshire and met Pat Buchanan when he was running for pres.

What did you tell them?

What, the door-to-door folks? One came during dinner and so I wasn't up for chatting, explained that we already knew who we were voting for and thanks goodbye because dinner is getting cold. The other (for Newt) was just handing out invites to his local townhall, and didn't seem to want to discuss anything.

Igloodude did you talk directly with any of the candidates?

Sadly, no. Partly it was because I really don't need to meet any of the candidates in order to decide who I'm voting for, and partly that my schedule never made it easy. If I had gotten the OT world-circling camera yet, I'd have met one of the candidates and gotten my wife to take a shot with the both of us. Probably something like this one:

Mittens is falling and Huntsmen is rising, Paul seems to be at about 20%
Romney leads by 17% over Huntsman, almost twice his total. Romney's got this one in the bag.

Awwww, poor Mittens. I guess this goes to show, there are some things money cannot buy you all of (but it can buy you 99% of it).
You can still buy an election, don't worry.
What the heck are you two talking about? It isn't money, it's voters. And either way, Romney is going to clean Huntsman's clock, so Mitt isn't so poor.

Possibly, although I can't really think of a prominent one that would be good for him.

I like it. :goodjob:
