MOAR Units Mod 1.2

I found a few Things:
Archers are not getting obsolet with the longbowman for England...
Some Units have only russian ore mixed civipedia descriptions...

Maybe u can fix that ;-)
 
Great mod Deliverator.

I noticed just one thing. Playing as Scythia, their unique scout replacement is strictly worse than a normal scout as it does not start with a free promotion.

In MOAR_Units_Data SQL need to amend this bit:

UPDATE Units SET InitialLevel = 2 WHERE UnitType = 'UNIT_SCOUT' OR UnitType = 'UNIT_EXPLORER' OR UnitType = 'UNIT_RANGER' OR UnitType = 'UNIT_SNIPER' Or UnitType = 'UNIT_AMAZON_SCOUT';

Not sure if its also necessary to add the unique scout replacement to the line above to ensure it can upgrade to an explorer. Haven't got that far yet.
 
@jacktannery Upgrade works fine for the Amazon Scout. As for the free promotion, Deliverator already addressed that back on Feb. 3:
Yeah, that's intentional. It was brought in when I merged the Expanded Recon Class mod. I think that it's not a bad change seeing as the first Recon promotion is not very strong. It allows you to specialise your Scouts for hills or forest movement from the off.

All Recon line units should get the first promotion free. That is what I meant was intentional - I think I misread Kennet's post. @jacktannery's point is that this should be the case for the Amazon Scout too - but it isn't in the current version which is wrong.
 
Suggestion: Replace machine gun with mortar (as your mortar mod does), and add machine gun as a support unit that increases the main unit's defense and is unlocked by replaceable parts (this has the added benefit of making machine guns available in the modern era, which makes way more sense historically).

Since the Druzhina, Jinete, & Equite all replace the Classical era Horseman (now Rider), shouldn't they upgrade to the new Medieval Horseman first instead of to Cavalry directly? Or even better with the Druzhina & Jinete, now that there is a Medieval Light Cavalry/Horseman unit, they could replace it instead of the Rider and have adjusted stats?
 
How would I go about disabling some these units? I want to keep it balanced and only add a single new unit to each civ. Thanks for any help.

You can edit the XML in MOAR_Units_Data.xml to remove any units you don't want.
 
Hi Deliverator,

First off, i'm a huge fan of the mod. I've been running it in multiplayer games with my friends and war is a blast. Great job!

Second, I was curious if you had any plans to expand the mod to custom civilizations. Sukitract's Siam and JFD and Janboratu's Mali are quite popular among multiplayer modders and I wondering if you had any Moar Units planned for these custom civs.
