NBA 2012/13 thread

Silver lining to end all silver linings...I honestly expected the Heat to blow the doors off last night.

Have you been watching the series Darkness? Hell, I'm sure there is a youtube compilations of all the 180s the (usually reasonable sans Magic Johnson) ABC/ESPN pregame crew have taken throughout this series.

W-L-W-L-W-L, with 4 consecutive blowouts sandwiched between 2 close games.

I wouldn't comment if I hadn't seen the games. I do have a TV you know... ;)
I may be in Europe, but with the correct TV channel package you can see a lot of US sports in the Netherlands. :)

I don't really care about the 180's the "experts" make. I comment on what I see and IMHO the last 30 seconds of the 4th quater and the overtime (defense by Chris Bosh??? ) were a huge swing in this series. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think so. :( Then again, the Spurs could bounce back in a great way. :)

SA had enough opportunity to win this in regulation. I don't see the bad calls having a difference. Grab that rebound and they win. They also had chances to do well in the OT and yet they didn't call time out when they got over half way.

Having a 21-year-old on the floor when you are about to get fouled as soon as you inbound the ball, and will win the NBA Championship if you make both free throws, has predictable results. They should have put Parker, Ginobili (maybe), Duncan and Diaw on the floor with Green or Splitter inbounding, and give one of the guys that've been in the league for 10 years the free throw instead of Leonard.

Leonard is not a particularly good FT shooter, pressure or no.

Not Ginobili, he would have just turned it over, that was his thing yesterday.

60% in the prayoffs :/

Wow, that is a big drop off... wonder what is Manu's excuse.

One has to wonder how much longer Parker can go before his hamstring explodes.

And that wraps it up folks. What a season, what a magnificent series. Neither team deserved to lose the Championship.

LeBron had a magnificent performance tonight (37-12-4). Say what you want about him as a person, but he's one of the best players to play this sport.

Boshasaurus should have won that Finals MVP. That game 7 performance wins it alone.

Contrary to what Billy Beane would have you believe, they are in fact selling jeans here.

I spent literally all of G7 being sick and saw precisely zero minutes of game time. Without an actual rooting interest, watching the awesome basketball was all I had AND NOW IT'S GONE FOREVER for a few months.

But, uh, congrats Heat?

I just got into the NBA too. Oh well. No way I'm watching that disgusting team play anymore. Well unless somehow it goes Spurs Heat Finals again... or Heat play a team I like in the Eastern Conference.

At least my college team won March Madness. I'll accept the payment.

Curse you Heat!

Is it wrong to be a fan of both the Mavs and the Spurs? I know the Spurs are a rival, but I just can't dislike Duncan, Parker's crazy shot making skills and coach Pop's awesomeness.

If, as a Mavs fan, you hate the Heat more than the Spurs, I, for one, must seriously question your decision-making.
