Hi,

I'm looking for somebody to help me with a phrase or preferably set of phrases to use when I disagree with somebody, but I don't want to lie to them or initiate an argument.

Apparently "No Comment" or simply remaining silent will not be sufficient.

Any sensible suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

'I'm not sure I quite see your point of view, but never mind, let's leave this' - that usually works for me!

Let's agree to disagree.

It'd be better if we didn't discuss this.

"I understand your point (of view), but I don't think either of us are going to change each other's mind on this."

I just say no (you're wrong), and then keep shaking my head if they try to say anything and start an argument. It usually works.

Link to video.

But, seriously, if tried to force choke them, you can be sure that they will loose all interested in talking to you. ;)

How interesting!
That's a novel opinion
I'm not sure about that
Perhaps
Let me think about what you've said
So you say
You've said that before
Is that the open road calling my name?

I just say "I would have a battle of wits, but I refuse to fight an unarmed man".
